Low Speed Connection. If i am not wrong its under 2 mbps. This is the reason the lander was sending live pictures every 45-50 seconds to the isro. Pretty sure lander is collection al lot of data which will be beamed back later.

also most videos from the space crafts (excluding ISS and other space stations) is actually formed by stitching images clicked by camera on spacecraft
