Finally, some private companies are working on bigger sized drones and UCAVs. No more running to the Israelis when ADA misses their timelines.

Both fall in subsonic category. CATS is twin-engined while Eklayva is single engine.

CATS will always get priority since HAL in involved in that project. For Eklayva to get inducted alongside CATS,it should have a more powerful engine (may be a Kaveri dry variant) so that it is capable of going supersonic.

It is a dedicated Air superiority Wingman, it will be for carrying A2A Missiles as a weapons truck which will be fired from Eklvya but target will be tracked, designated, locked and attacked by the Mothership and the Eklvya will just release the payload.

Why don't both the prototypes be pitted against each other, just like what USAF does with its next generation jets. The funding given be the same, then see what it can do. Fair competition reaps more benefits, and that should be the case with all defense sectors. I think its time for private players to come into picture.

The Bengaluru-based Private Firm Kinetix Engineering Solutions Limited and UK-based company Marques Aviation had entered into an agreement in 2021 to collaborate on the development of the EKLWYA Loyal Wingman Stealth Drone.

New pictures indicates that the loyal wingman drone is currently in advanced stage of assembly.

It has a length of 9 meters and wingspan of 7 meters and features air-to-air refueling system, serpentine intakes and low observable design elements.

It will fly at a speed of Mach 0.85 and will have a range of 3,880 kilometers.

It will be used for counter air combat missions, electronic intelligence, escort of manned platforms, manned unmanned teaming and artificial intelligence-based swarming capability.

So I checked a bit and found that they just got over excited, they saw PK’s tweet and wrote the article and T2S defence updates channels showed it as news.
