The new platform systems, into which work is being initiated, include the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), new-generation main battle tank (NGMBT), long-range radars, airborne warning and control system (AWACS), sonar suite, high-thrust aero engines, engines for wheeled platforms, underwater autonomous vehicles and hypersonic glide vehicles.

And repeat the sane mistake with Arjun?! Nope. The crew can fuck themselves... They'll have to settle for accuracy and acceleration.
We both know how t-72s ended up in gulf war.

Maybe this is exclusivley for Indo-China front. There was a need for a light tank some 30 to 40 ton in this region as seen only T 72 can operate here.
At heights there is no choice but to cut down on armour and go for accuracy and Manuverabilty.
Some 500 to 1000 tank will suffice the need of this front.

Some other heavy tank can be designed to take care of Indo Pak front.

The way I see the future of Mechanized forces.

INDO Pak front 1500 to 2000 FMBTs(Heavy)
INDOA China front 500 to 1000 FMBT(Light)
The 1250 T 90s can serve us till 2050s
Armoured carriers as many as u can build.

No more tank imports please.

Might as well drop the Arjun project now it is just another INSAS.
Make sure there is no fuck up this time.

Thats a complete fantastical assumption... No indication of such thing yet.

The few guys in DFI by speaking Army's mind has made it plenty clear that they prefer a 40-45ton, mobile tank with accurate firepower.

Oh no doubt, these will end up very similarly, except if ammo is stored in turret bustle, turret will blowup to damage only itself. But a very likely hull weak-point penetration will hit whole crew immediately. And that is not the designer's problem. Their job is to meet specification laid out by the user... or rather the user's bosses.
Front (not upper, as they msy have changed the hull to a Leopard2/Abran style) glacis and turret can have a narrow strip of thick LOS armour.

Covered it here:
Just meet specifications, fuck everything else!

The unmanned turret clearly has minimal armour, maybe they'll add some Merkava like modules, a narrow strip of very thick armour (the value they can put on brochures)... Like 1000mm thick LOS.

The hull is similar too. At the green it can have 1000mm LOS thickness, the rest gets fuckall.

ROFLMAO

Just like their Rusky Daddy's T-72/90, if anyone thinks that's any different.

Paki tanks as of just as shitty, but Chinkys are plugging the gap very well. Their 3man crew tanks weigh 57tons and increasing.
In case of a tank battle in Ladakh at 2030, be mentally prepared to handle a lot of beef roast memes all over internet.
