India should stop investing in sports and divert those funds to STEM Education and Research for the betterment of this country.

This is a remarkable achievement that testifies to the development of sports in the country. After all, this is a very important area of human life and for the younger generations there should be examples to follow. And it's better if they were compatriots.

Well online casinos in india have a lot of flaws and I think that you can can try more of that and do it in the long run at the very least. That is what the demand can give for most of us and you cannot bee too sure of it at this point too.

The thought process seems to have included many factors. One not becoming isolated or a geo-political hot potato, second our players getting more exposure and being tested in a competitive environment for their performance. In case of good show public getting engaged with nationalist fervour recharged; good for politicians, busy news slots and good tamasha over all.
Sir, don't you think that India should have boycotted this year's Commonwealth Games as the Angrezs deliberately removed Shooting and Archery events?
They close one front, we open another front.

Apparently this was not a routine tournament, Kudos to all who were involved.
=====
LARGER THAN LIFE - that's the term you are looking for when things happen in India! Imagine this scenario - a war erupts between two nations and hence the Chess Olympiad comes to India. Only 5 months are left. Many countries do not even bid for this marquee event because there is no time to prepare for it. When 150+ countries descend down to your land, you not only have to work out your visas and flights, but also the hotels, food, transport, and so much more.

Where some sense closed doors, some sense opportunity. This is exactly what AICF spotted. And this is where the Tamil Nadu Government backed them. With the sponsorship by the state, and the vision of the federation, the Chess Olympiad arrived in India. But that was only half of the battle won. The real work began. So many people made Mahabalipuram their home for the next few months.

The opportunity met with diligent work and the result was there for all of us to see! More than 180 countries have participated at this Olympiad. The four-point Sheraton hotel is unrecognizable! New structures have been erected, permanent modifications have taken place and the purposeful has resulted in the first round of the Olympiad 2022 beginning right on time on 29th of July 2022. Yes, there were hiccups. Yes, everything was far from perfect. But this tournament happening, in itself is a miracle! And things are bound to get better as the days progress!

This combination of OPPORTUNITY with PURPOSEFULNESS is a powerful one. This is the same one that the Indian men and women's team need to go for at the Olympiad. They have the opportunity that has come knocking at their doorstep. Now all they need is purposeful play to convert this into something big. A Gold Medal!

Being a host country India has definite benefits - less travel, same time zone, familiarity etc. But the biggest advantage has been getting 3 teams in both open and women's section! And that is something really big! A total of 30 Indian players have got a chance to represent their country at this Olympiad. In the first round 24 of them took fort. And guess what 24 of them won the game!

For us, the game of the day was Tania Sachdev's long grind against her talented Tajikistan opponent Rukhshona Saidova. Tania, who had a great position at the start, landed in a tough situation in the middlegame, she was very nearly lost, when her opponent made a few inaccuracies and she was back in the game. But the position was still drawn. Tania played for nearly 6 hours and ground out that position into a win! This win is representation of the fighting spirit that the team is going for at this Olympiad.

Strong teams are coming up in the next rounds. Team USA is a clear favourite in the open section. While in the women, Ukraine, Georgia and even Kazakhstan are going to make India's task of winning medal very tough. But our players are not the ones who will back down. The entire nation is looking forward to some great chess in the next few days to come!
