None of the Mech advantage will suffice in the mountains, except in a few stretches of LAC where we match china pound for pound in mechanised forces , 90% of LAC is such that only light troops can fight and dominate areas of concern. pLA tech advantage on a soldier to soldier basis is not great. I've never seen them with sights or body armour at the LAC. Much of what they show to the world is propaganda. You're right the war in Ukraine isn't applicable here, infact it will be 50 times more worse for china, russian mechanised forces failed in Ukraine against a smaller and less mechanized, less advanced Ukrainian army on flat terrain , the chinese will face a much worse fate in Himalayas
Of course what most fail to understand in this thread is that mountain warfare is fundamentally different from ground warfare, which is why different tactics tend to be used. The only way for China to force Indian positions out is to either assault them in human wave, highly likely based on the fact they seem to regard their soldiers lives as pawns, which in this case, will lead to a huge defeat for the Chinese. They could also use multidirectional assaults and scale steep cliffs in order to force Indians out like the Indians did in Kargil, or they could use their AF to bomb Indian supply lines, and their AF is objectively superior to the IAF in every way. The last option is highly unlikely due to the threat of full scale breaking out, so a war between India and China will likely happen in the format of the 1962 war, only with more advanced gear, and hopefully nuanced tactics.

The issue the Indians need to be aware about is their logistics. The main reason the Indians lost the last war and Galwan is because they had shit logistics. Meanwhile, in Doklam and recently Tawang, the Chinese were brutally humiliated and made to run away when they had their prep together. Logistics will determine the victor of this war, which is infinetly more important than how many M4s 9 para sf can acquire. What’s the point of acquiring such equipment if you can’t supply them adequately?

However, this is all in the case an actual war breaks out. This is highly unlikely and what we will see is hand to hand clashes taking part.

Ah yes they can hide their super soldier serum , stars wars blasters and iron man suits , but can't hide their operator identities. The more we show off our public stunts the more inferiority is released . Marcos has significantly controlled this and concentrated more on learning new stuff
India must have a global humiliation fetish. Instead of flaunting how fancy their “SF” is they should focus more on finding ways to further their nonexistent offensive capabilities, right now they are incapable of successfully invading Bangladesh.

That is correct. PMC do not get carry permits for such firepower. The Israeli team of the Ambani's do carry concealed side arms through. Heavy stuff is provided by CRPF and Mumbai Police.
Me too have similar thoughts as the law of land doesn’t permit it.
We saw it in the Ambani Security team video recently.

There are insta pages dedicated to PLA where you can find videos of dozens of surrendered or captured IA boys bleeding and sitting infront of PLA post the scuffle.

Koi baat nahi, vo sab chalta rehta hai, kabhi hum maar khaate aur kabhi vo. The result in the end is decided by how much backup you can call to the clash zone and how quickly can it be utilised.

hota hai ye sab. You can't win every war.

hum logo ne bhi pichle saal 14 PLA soldiers capture kiye the jisme 3 officers the. koi video/photo nahi aaya hai abhi tak aur shayad kabhi aayega bhi nahi. ye pata bhi chala jab ek officer ko SM(Gallantry) milla northern command investiture ceremony me.

Galwan ka significance alag hai, pahle kya hota tha? PLA aata tha aur agar zameen le li to le li. Koi fight nahi hoti thi. Galwan changed everything.

I just had a fucking war with a stan with the same blunt bat of "Do you know more than military ??.?" bullshit . The argument was about the risk of a soldier being shot while using the newly procured practicality of jet packs . He just pointed way from the real topics to old shit like lawrence Arabia and how every other special forces unit takes up after British Royal Marines . Felt like talking to a 14 year old.
I invited him to join and have justifiable argument with the experts and vets here in DFI , only if he had balls to do so . I hope senior members and mods give him a reality check

The way some Indian kids post on international forums/sites it certainly feels that way. There’s actually plenty of decent content out there now but instead they seem to overwhelmingly pick stuff that is guaranteed to get mocked. >90% of the Indian military content on Reddit is comedy
