Now our sof have 3 options
1.tonbo
2.mku
3.bel
We could really be happy they buy those in large nos otherwise it's of no use
What really needs to go along with these is employment. Whilst adopting panoramic is a decent jump and just about brings them up to contemporary standards (maybe 4-5 years behind) what Indian armed forces as a whole are massively behind in is night fighting as a culture and this is a lot more than just getting the NODs and maybe a LAD on your rifle.

you need dedicated night firing ranges, IR strobes for IFF, IR night suns on ISR platforms, IR patches/chemlights etc etc even small things like duty hours will have to be altered with the operational elements adopting ‘vampire hours’

This will require a culture shift

Well since you posted this...

I tried to make out as much as I could from the very limited photos of AFSOD available online. And now that we have seen dual tubes and quad nods in the Indian SF, I incorporated that too. And I don't know why but the only photos from the two occassions, AFSOD was seen in exercise they seemed to be wearing tan helmets with green gear. So I went with that. And about the camo, MARCOS and Garuds use digital woodland in Kashmir and the Army's new camo looks a lot like that so I used the one that looks closest to digital woodland in Arma 3.
AFSOD isn’t a separate unit

He is talking about SOF, not regular forces.

Agnipath Agniveer is official
Recruitment of NCOs, Airmen and sailors will happen thru this scheme and this scheme only.
Let's think SF.
How the hell do you think OR and NCO ranks are gonna join SF now? Be it MARCOS, GARUD, PARA SF.

You do know 25% of those recruited by this method, when are done with their term are going to be retained right?

What if someone wants to join SF during their 4 year tenure?
They shall volunteer for probation and if they clear it and get into SF, they shall be kept as long as they’ll be kept for the fixed time period and the superior/experienced ones based on merit (aka the 25%) shall be retained in the SF.
Atleast based on the info we have as of now.

Imo if a person joins SF they should automatically be retained.

People join US SOFs (after passing selection) on 3-4 year contracts straight from the street

Only issue is Indian training capabilities are nowhere near as capable as US/Western- that’s why so much emphasis is placed in experience, there’s not enough formalised training pipelines especially for SFs

Its not about training capabilities, its about existing mindset. Young officers and Soldiers were fighting in Kargil and winning, Same age brackets soldiers are serving in Kashmir, they don't seem to have an issue. Its the idea of change which haunts them.

That's the entry gate of Samdrup Jongkhar, oldest town of Bhutan, located in Eastern part. A road from Samdrup Jongkhar to Tawang was proposed by India few years back, which would have acted as bypass road to Sela Top and reduce the travel time from Guwahati to Tawang. At this moment this proposal has been kept in abeyance by Bhutan.

Samdrup Jongkhar is also entrance to Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary located in Eastern Bhutan, which has been recently disputed by China.

Indian Army has presence in Bhutan through Indian Military Training Team or IMTRAT. Also there is Border Roads Organisation and GREF working in Bhutan for infrastructure development.

SF personnels are also sent to IMTRAT for training the commando unit of Royal Bhutan Army and Royal Body Guards.

The Indian military/society as a whole is adverse to change, that doesn’t mean it isn’t the right thing to do.

if implemented properly this can have a great transformative effect BUT it has to be accompanied by sweeping changes in training and professionalisation at that level- this is entirely in the hands of the serviced.

Though this is offtopic let me share some of my views. In addition to better training,US soldiers have better support elements too thats why they fared much better against Iraqi army and republican guards. Take the example of Russians with similar consctipt system for 3 years or so, most of their performance in the chechenia, Afghanistan and recent ukraine invasion were not comparable with that of US. So a country like India with average training facilities tour de duty system won't be good. Also there is something called experience which ubcould muster only through years of service and a mere 4 years service wont be suffice to get that much experience. From the view point of soldiers, what will they do once they get out of sevice after 4 years. Don't compare US or EU nation with India where even the most educated kind finds difficult to get a job of their liking

If you have bad support elements, it doesn't matter which system you have in place, you are bound to struggle, also the comparison of US troops in Iraq and the Russian troops In Ukraine is not valid.
