Are they getting any training in the Ranger school, or are they just there for the qualification? If they went through the training we would have seen some changes.
Ranger school is NOT ranger selection. It has nothing to do with the 75th ranger regiment. It’s a leadership course that’s it. Little specialised training occurs in it.

Not going to vouch for the informations authenticity. Though I hope it’s true.

“Almost 2 decades ago, Indian SF with an elite western SF donning some interesting gears including headband coms and dual tube NVGs. Indian SF currently have some of the best night and thermal optics and wearables in the world.
Note : These were our gears not the guest SF's”. -Elite Predators on Twitter.

If this had been with them for decades then we would have got a glimpse of it much before. Most likely it indeed is of the guest. If there is a pic of them wearing it during non-joint exercises then I can accept he’s right. Not to mention the fact that much of the procurement is done by noobs, so much so that we don’t even have adequate lasers to be used with NODs in various units, its just Mepro which has them inbuilt which they use but doesn’t have high battery life when used. They don’t seem to be having lasers back then.

Notice the leftmost operative, he has a biocular NVG tied to his neck, that was our loadout 20 years back, the pointman of a squad had a NVG like that or an HHTI.
Also, i have heard (take it with a truckload of salt) operatives from 21 SF used NOGA dual tubes of some aviation unit.
Can someone point out what unit that american personnel belongs to ?

Is it just me who thinks that our sf were really good in their early days for that time especially Marcos with op Pawan and op cactus, if we have paid some attention and moved along with the time then our sf would have been wonderful but sadly our generals shivers with the idea of modernization, now foreign units which came into existence decades after our sf are considered best,😞😞

We were super cool just till the GWOT came and all the innovation it brought with itself. We left all of that, Still trying to catchup with Marcos and Garuds.

Thats definitely the joint forces' gear. In the 90s and early 2000s Delta Force, SEALs, Green Berets all had gear that can be seen on the foreign operator i.e. tan fatigues, black or green tactical load bearing vests with plate carrier inserts, black highcuts and dual tube NODs (that can be seen on the Para SF operators head) and as far as I'm aware, back then Para SF had NOTHING better than 1974 helmets with zero ballistic protection. If it were my money, I'd bet that the foreign operator is a SEAL.

That helmet is a protec helmet, predecessor of modern day high cut bump helmet, many JSOC/socom units used it in combat. Our combat freefallers still use those
