AFSOD is supposed to have 3000 members what is supposed to happen with rest of them?
The first batch is 3000 , rest will get integrated later , while development of a full sized command is on the move . (Probably they are inducted for test , and given their designation of an AFSOD operator , then while the AFSOD is developing slowly they conduct missions under their respective wings, and called in for joint training such as Joint functionality Exercise held this year , a few months ago or probably they are re-doing the re-designed and structured 3 years whole SOF course under the AFSOD )-my mere assumptions.

Like when we ordered our new "upgraded" helmets from MKU, without any rails or NVG mounts? Not blaming MKU here, our military procurement planners are just huge boomers. Now they have putout new request for helmets that can stop 7.62 bullets, do any such helmet exist that will be comfortable to wear?
A varient of the FAST helmet can and has successfully stopped 7.62x39
It has saved an french SF and a turkish SF.that's as much as you can get out of a helmet
EVEN THE SINGAPOREANS ARE USING THE MKU HELMETS

They said this
And how can we confirm . They say a lot of things but how much is believable? It's saying that a localised version of a helmet designed in US .as far as I remember, the FAST high cut design was founded in US . And we only own the H.P. White Labs in US . For its ballistic testing

My 2 Cent thinking and observation: SF is no where on cards of Army priority for modernization. They are focusing more on Ghataks and Regular Infantry. And probably waiting for AFSOD to materialize. And this could be blessing in disguise Ghataks getting good gear and will be used efficiently for the Super Infantry task which they were originally made for and Not Para SF will be used. And if we ever get Comatcs probably those will distributed within Ghataks and Para SF both.
