We don't have a tier-one force
Bhai we don't have a bloody doctrine. The guys responsible to run this army are either clueless when in service or are just plain apathetic to its needs. We are just confused. Our polity is bloody obsessed with Pakistan and cannot think beyond it so everything that our army does is mostly with respect to Pakistan. We have so many battalions of RR and so many Ghatak guys but still now and then SF has to be brought in for an operation that could be handled easily by units present there on the ground. So many operators have died and many more have been injured due to senseless use of SF. These guys could be used for ops against HVTs but we use them for eliminating those expendable tangos. The problem here is a lack of national security doctrine. A vision document that guides our armed forces towards a long-term goal as a cohesive unit rather than multiple independent units. But we will continue to act on an ad hoc basis for times to come and keep using a scalpel as a hammer.

I am sorry but that Jacob is defending a joke with an incorrect POV of the world should not be carried on. You think when US SOCOM and 82Airborne and the 10th Mountain were running up and down ToraBora during Annaconda Trucks full of bisleri were attached to their hips?

For a training cycle NO operator is going to risk disentary or malaria or some other nonsense disease that will make them combat ineffective.

Operating and living off the land is not a Monopoly of Para SF or infact the Indian Army. every single army trains their soldier as such.

Lets move on from this. this is sophmoric.

Look at the recoil.
This might be why the US servicemen keep their legs extended behind when crouched.
Note: This is not standard throughout the good militaries. At least the UK military, the Australian military, the Bundeswehr and the Russians still crouch like those boys in blue.
I'd assume having your leg out far behind you affects the physics much like a Kangaroo's tail and would be a good tradeoff for the slightly increased exposure of body parts. This is the second time I'm seeing such a video where this rifle's recoil is utterly overwhelming our guys.
Check it-

Or you could also go straight up French gangsta life if you have a small frame and one leg isn't enough to hold you in place-

Having both legs bend has a downside when firing 7.62×51 it has a high Recoil if your centre of mass disbalences then you will fall back hard US one is good having on leg extended and other bend straight
