Martial arts have no place in training commandos. It is good for shows and children to learn.

Commandos are interested in combat systems like PTK.
One thing that does go underappreciated in counter-insurgency ops is the ability of a soldier to grapple/restrain.
The rioters, OGWs or militants, if determined to run away, will require at least three soldiers to restrain if you're avoiding striking them in the face or breaking their restless ass below the hipbone. That's about all for martial arts.
Not to toot my own horn but I've been in pretty bad roadside brawls and it doesn't matter one bit how much you train traditional "mystic" martial arts beyond the cardiovascular and proprioception benefits. All that matters is how aggressive you are and whether you're all in in the fight or are a bit zoned out and thinking about the consequences.

If you start thinking "If I beat him too bad, he might bring 10 guys tomorrow, he might die, he might file an FIR. Hang on, is this the same guy who saw me in my balcony? Wait, does he know where I live?" you're done. Also, overcoming that tunnel vision thingy requires some stress inoculation sessions.

Just keep the bayonet training alive. That's enough to train that "on command" artificial aggression involving strikes.
Maybe box a little bit.
Grappling is a bit of a niche requirement but rather prevalent and realistic compared to knife fights in tight alleyways.

Just my two bits on unarmed combat. Take it with a kadahi of salt.

I have had my share of street fights too fortunately or unfortunately i am here as i walked out of all of them.

Why i walked out of the street fights everytime despite sometimes being outnumbered was because of aggression which you rightly call not being zoned out.

If you are angry or motivated(like soldiers) or experienced you would not be zoned out.

Also what i have seen in street fights is no matter how much you train with a specific style after the first punch or push all that glamour goes out of the book and you really fight like dogs.

Here is where combat sytems come into play where you dont have time to engage with the enemy.

Also, you train with a particular thought process in mind which doest give advantage to the attacker.

Like the biggest example i will give is the Indian soldiers keeping the sling loose which is falling on towards the ground in almost all pics.

This is a big mistake specially in close combat as anyone can easily snatch the gun from the corner grabbing the barell in dark spots while clearing rooms.

In combat systems it is taught to keep the sling or rather carry the sling around your shoulders so that if someone pulls it you dont loose your gun.

Anyway, this is way way ahead for us now.Right now the biggest thing we could achieve is not ponting the barell towards each other in pics.

Secondly, sentry silencing and being unarmed and facing armed opponent.

Lastly, comes a ego booster that you know something and you feel superior.

I always say the difference between a SF and good infantryman is only that the SF operator thinks that he is superior which makes him act Rambo.

Shifu ji.
There is mental illness here, what kind a freak wants to be referred to by such cringe terms when they have ZERO legitimate credentials?

This is the kid of pi$$ poor training he is giving

These girls would get ripped apart by even local terrorists in JK, forget about the near SF type commandos that LeT trains up

Again, can't just blame one creep, who the fk are the jokers that are giving him the contract? Who is witnessing this pathetic circus and applauding?

( I won't get into how entirely ret@rded it is to have an all women anti-terror unit)

But I have seen his videos, he is a great martial artist, no doubt but he should only give martial arts training to commandos, not overall training which includes physical training and the most crucial part, firearms training. As I don’t think he has a huge past experience of firing weapons.
Martial arts are almost entirely irrelevant in a combat technique, perhaps only the Chinese teach them to combat units. There's a reason why combat forms like Krav Maga and PTK were developed- they aren't performative but are results orientated

PARA (SF) are taught PTK, jumping through flaming hoops or doing high kicks isn't going to do anything for you when your ice shelf breaks and you fall 10 metres onto a terrorist camp.

SPG are taught Krav Maga AFAIK and they also bring in international experts to impart specialist training (there was a photo circulating of a Hungarian/Croatian combat expert training up SPG CAT/SIU guys)

Edit, found it, instructors are from Czech Republic:

Note the emphasis on pressure points and control, not jumping kicks

Compare:

quality matters mate without it you are giving girls a sense of fake security this video is 41 min long but the initial moments are enough to expose this fraud
He should stick to this, I think there's value to it if it gives girls a confidence to protect themselves, most losers that would prey on a woman will run away if given even flawed attacks.

There's a difference between martial arts and hand to hand combat, the latter IS needed and IS taught. The nonsense that POS Shifuji teaches to operational units has ZERO relevance to them and will only get them killed.

What i love is his antics which fool below average IQ people.

My favourite one was..

Walks to the CRPF traininh ground intentionally late by 1 minute.

Performs front rolls .

And says i was 1 minute late so i have punished myself and rules are for everyone.

I was like.. :rofl: :laugh::smash:

Contrast that stolen valour clown breaking florescent tubes on his trainees (which doesn't hurt at all) and high kicking left and right to PTK instructors training Indian SF:

"You don't need to learn sport, you're here to learn combat"

" With a combat load you can't do a high kick nor do you want to, there's so many options to counter this"

You can easily spot the difference between a martial arts instructors and unarmed combat instructors, the latter emphasise closure (killing your opponent), the former teach sparring. If you haven't finished off the opponent in 3-4 moves and it lasts longer than 10 seconds then you are probably already dead.

Martial arts = fancy word for combat systems. Even PTK is for show. Hand to hand Combat is basically a reaction to aggression. You can 'teach' someone the basics, but they need to learn to 'react' on their own. That comes from months and months of sparring. So the 'combat system' commandos practice for, say, 100 hours during training is next to useless.

To hell with anyone who calls themselves 'shifu'. Is this fucking kung fu panda???!!!
