Didn't SSG once surrender to a bunch of farmers? I hope each and every one of those clowns killed themselves out of shame.

In reality what I have read in different threads and forums , they are said to be better trained and we'll equipped.
Also since they dealing with BLA and Taliban , they have got somewhat better experience.

No, SSG is pretty experienced but they're pretty much just elite infantry.
They were better equipped but we've caught up. Ghataks on LOC now have better equipment most of the times.

The only SSG unit which kind-of-sort-of does SF stuff is Zarar and they're a lot more similar to NSG than Para SF (CT Focused).
It's not rare to see a SSG commando's dead ass or arm patch (sometimes head) at Para's regimental centre on full display.

SSG is basically very valued big game like the Black buck was to Selmon boi.

chinese sf,pains me to say but their western copied gear is likely better than us editn of their new gear i believe they're using high cut with peltor headset copies,its likely standard for their sf to my hunch since their budget can likely accommodate for gucci gear

Nothing comes out about them, but they're probably not THAT good.

They do regularly cross train with foreign forces (participated in a Russian lead exercise recently too).

If we compare para sf with SSG of pakis and Chinese SF which operate near LAC , how Much behind are we ?
I have heard SSG is far better than the any of the special force we have let alone para sf.


PS for the people losing thier head above. I here have never said we are well equipped , I am strongly against name calling the soldiers or Calling out them for naive things like placement thigh holster , or getting basics right.
We can expect them to be atleast basic trained well because it's a long and lengthy process which no ordinary person can clear imo.

PLA SOF have been training with contractors who were in turn trained by western contractors comprising former operators for quite a while now, their gear and network integration is also leagues ahead than anything we have, and they do conduct force on force quite more often than we do. It boils down to whether they have operational competence or not now.

Till the Time they are in J&K yes, Outside they do Anti Piracy missions where Assault Dogs dont really make sense, Their EOD Teams have the Sniffer Dogs.
Point is they havent felt the need for them yet and will likely wont in future either.
