Pika in existing stock are few and very old and those are captured from terrorists. It is just used by R&R, who also used Type-56 AK captured from terrorists.
The PKM uses an outdated 7.62x54r round which is rimmed, hence cant really work with push through or disintegrating links. The Negev woth with 7.62 rimless cartridge is more modern, not to mention you could update the rifle in the future with future rounds based on the 308 casing. For example, to swap from 7.62 nato to 6.5 creedmore all you need is a barrell change.

We'll wait for a few months so that , the RFI for 80k helmets can kick in . And a few years till we see railed HCBHs in service . Plate carriers are becoming common. Although SF needs restructuring and better dedicated cells and sectors . They also lack helmet mounted equipment like Comms , surefire lights , NVGs . Also a new rifle to replace their Ageing Tavors . Although the MARS Tavors are being increasingly replaced with Flattop ones even in SF . M4a1s in service need an upgrade kit . Newer ak upgrades are coming in from SSS.D. although it would've been preferable to use ar-15 rifles for existing 7.62×39 and 5.56 nato , since ar-15s can be made for the russi rounds just by swapping the receivers and barrels something on the lines of m4-WAC-47 of Ukraine
