when the still was posted by the Major onTwitter I said that if you took Tavors/M4s out of the hands of PARAs there’s no way you could tell the difference between them and RR and that’s about all that can be said watching this. RR seem to have better gear in some ways too.

RR have come a LONG way in a few short years, PARA SF are in a total mess. I just will never understand how they’ve been allowed to stagnate for this long. Again and again I say that SFs are meant to be 5-10 years ahead of what regulars are issued but today there’s no gap whatsoever. Sheer criminal incompetence, a few years back we gave them the benefit of the doubt but it’s been almost 15 years and no real changes to be seen on the ground on the whole. 15 years is longer than the average SF guy will even serve in a SF unit. There’s nowhere in the private sector where you could afford to sit still for 15 years.

I hope in real life they would be using flash bangs for room interventions. Their drills seem to be on par with RR but not overly solid.

Well it all comes to attitude. As you all say the video is staged the key take away for me is that the local Commander treats SOF as a tactical resource. Nothing more nothing less. SF js the ghatak QRT for commanders and will continue to be so.

Also, it appears to be worn over an 80s tactical vest. Top right and left corners..
Also, the mag pouches seems to be carrying two magazines.. Total 4 extra mags. 4 extra mags means 120 extra bullets

Nope there is no evidence that we are better physically or mentally atleast in terms of special forces.
I would say they are far better than us overall.

beyond a point this “bisleri boys” commentary becomes moot.

From a micro biology angle, bacteria exists everywhere. Murican bodies are tuned to handle their local bacteria, not much equipped to handle our strain of bacteria, that too on a short trip. it takes two three months for a human body to re-adjust to new biological conditions.

having said that, probably the Chindits experiences is already part of their military literature, so they take extra precautions when coming to India.

What do you mean 'much better tolerance'?? If the water is contaminated an Indian will fall sick just like an American. Only difference is, we don't have enough hospitals to treat him, so he'll die. The American won't die because he'll get proper treatment on time. Also, pure water .

Men with 'less technical advantages' will only be at higher risk in battle, no matter how much 'better physically and mentally' they are. This "we gotta be like Rambo" mindset will be the ruin of our special forces..

No matter how well trained our guys are physically, it won't matter if they don't have the equipment they need.
