German technology was a joke
In a short war, we'll immediately lose DBO due to lackluster infrastructure, which'll allow China to put Siachen under pressure, and that's without the Pakistanis. Don't even get me started on the chicken's neck
How many troops PLA will have to commit to undertake such an adventure?
That too achieving the said objective with minimal casualty at their end. China will strike once Pakistan does the heavy lifting and they will give us strike in cyber space. Then they will send their troops when victory is almost certain to their general.
At least that's how I visualise the PLA if it strike, because if they get a bloody nose, they can bid goodbye to their hegemony dreams.

Or they can bomb those positions out of existence with precision munitions, artillery, and those bombers they have.

Hey, you seem to be very knowledgeable about Chinese superiority over us (or our lack thereof). We will immediately lose DBO is a strong statement.

And please entertain me with more of your fantasies about Chicken's neck.

On relevant thread here - https://defenceforumindia.com/threads/india-china-2020-border-conflict.82416

If not, can you stop with your rhetoric and delusion?

We have blacktopped road till DBO. The terrain of DBO/Depsang allows us to do a lot of offroading.
We have stationed huge columns of armor and artillery in Depsang and DBO because we exactly know DBO is threatened and our supply lines are stretched.

And please start on Chicken's neck. Tell me how China can threaten Chicken's neck.

Or they can bomb those positions out of existence with precision munitions, artillery, and those bombers they have.
Damn, if only there was something called counter-offensive. If only we had something, like our own artillery and precision munition, and bombers, who, maybe can threaten China's precision munitions, artillery, and bombers.
Alas, such things are not available in India.

I mean, there must be an option other than just looking awkwardly up the sky when China bombs those positions out of existence.

Damn, in a few years they’ve gone from militia standard to this and many Indians will look down on that continent.

Also note they are using training rounds- something I haven’t seen ANY Indian unit use- they are serious operators, not like the wannabe commandos you see in India.

Ooh god please u really don't know about german tech please read somthing about it. We bought german submarine even South korea bought it.

And going by you seems that China will reach Delhi Tomorrow morning.
Kuch bhi?

UK was producing more Airplanes when compared to the germans.
Canada was producing more Tanks when compared to the germans.
US and Soviet Union were producing more of everything when compared to the germans.

Spitfire was superior to most german jets. US bombers were superior to anything the german could make.

The merlin jets of US were the best escort jets throughout the war outclassing everything the germans threw at them.

When the Allies were using huge motorized armies germans were still using horse drawn carriages.

What set the germans apart was their tactics and planning and their technology which later fell behind during war.

But the germans were a step ahead. They were first to implement the assault rifle concept, and yes i know russians had a rifle too but that doesnt count. They also were first to implement the universal machine gun concept. Just look at their helmets, they were much better than the allies.
I am no fan of the nazis, but they did fire the first rocket in war, and brought the US (hanburger land) to the moon.

Well the same "serious operators" come to get training here with the "wannabe commandos". Just saying.

Even SEALS and Green Berets have come for certain courses in India. Moot point.

SEALs and Green Berets have come in the past, I don't think they come here to get trained, rather cross train and there's a mutual exchange. And in their case too, I dont think any SF would come to train here, unless they saw something of value with the "wannabe commandos".
The current set of regular exercises probably hold more value for us.

Moreover, SEALs and GBs have a successful combat record to show for themselves, like Indian SF, although the intensity and nature of operations may vary.

I don't think Nigerian SF, or "serious operators" as you termed them, have much to show for their combat record as far as things stand for now. Their operations against Boko Haram have been heavily assisted in by US SOCOM, even the current state they are in shows a clear US SOF footprint.

If just equipment levels are the factor that cause you to gripe so passionately against Indian SF to the extent of calling them "wannabe commandos", then I've said it before on this thread, individual operator equipment is not the soldier's discretion in the Indian scenario.

Those are more of babu-led decisions.

To keep the argument in its fairness, and focused on facts pertaining to SF, I don't think these oft-repeated, extremely worded statements, just to gripe at equipment levels, which are not even in the control of the individual operator, hold much water.

I rest my case here.
