I think jumping to quads directly from the monos is a mistake, you need to learn binods first to appreciate quads, all that weight hanging off you helmet could sour their tastes.

Could be but don't all tier one units prefer binods over Quads? Deltas still run binos.
Generally the pointman is the one with PNVGs as they are the first to go in during room clearing and them having a wide field of view is important so at least 2 or 3 PNVGs in a squad is adequate imo.
The others may or may not need it , it depends on them if they value weight or field of view.

Quads give a much wider range of view, but they are bulky, some units do prefer Binos. I've never seen 22 SAS with QUADs exept for in COD games
Even american tier 1 units (pioneers of quad tubes) use dual tubes most of the times. SAS is a different story, they had a single quadtube in their inventory that too was purchased seperately by a blade himself.
