AFAIK, in SF (atleast seals) they dont have "combat medics" per se, just a squad member who has taken a course in advanced first aid as one of his specialisations.

Nah the SEALs have NSWCM's, they do the whole SOCM (whatever it's called this year) course.

They have SEALs trained as medics in the platoon. And an organization called "SARC" Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman who are basically special operations capable and specialize as Hospital Corpsman. They are attached to SEAL Delivery Vehicle teams, Navy EOD, DEVGRU and mostly with MARSOC and Force Marine Recon. Then the SEALs at Team 6, also have airforce's pararescue as medics.

Any body has nay idea on how are the Garuds organized, like in terms of capability do we have combat controllers? I've heard their are 15 flights or squadrons. Garud just seem to lacking a mandate to me. They do CI/CT ops in Kashmir whereas they should've been augmenting army and navy sf like airforce sf do around the world. Also why do we still have them as airbase security.

SARCs are a different gig to NSWCM which is what I was on about.
The difference is like an EMT Vs Paramedic. SARCs are assigned to NSW etc teams for advanced care and skill sets, SARCs can perform basic surgery, operate decompression chambers etc etc but the CM is the permanent team member.

PJ's don't go to DEVGRU much if at all anymore.

Afaik Garuds don’t work independently in J&K but in attachment with RR. Told to me by a former Garud who recently left the unit due to injuries.

MARCOS has really gone through a lot of modernization in 15 years.

Not like they're leagues better equipped than Indian SF but ig we are really behind on our drills and operational methods. Pretty sure, nothing of this level exists in India. Maybe MARCOS but still not upto this level. And these guys aren't even the best of the elites. They specialize in fighting in the favelas.

Also how the f are they running like they're pulling a cross country . AFAIK , shooting drills like these requires speed and precision, they look like they are running for Army Bharti Rally

The Tavor can be slung under the armpit during running while still maintaining control over the trigger guard afaik

Stress drill to simulate shooting after running. Heavy breathing causes significant bobbing of the sight and this teaches you how to manage that motion while keeping some semblance of accuracy.
