@COLDHEARTED AVIATOR @rkhanna
is this true?
I asked my father about this and he said in his unit everyone wear that 1980s helmet.

@ALBY does the same happen in the organization of which u r part?
I works for state police and we don’t have any helmets as it don’t have any practical value in jungles.😀

No plates, no side arm, no spare ammo, no communications gear, no med kit, borrowed floatation device etc efc

i could go on and on but it’s rather redundant at this point. Peak professionalism I guess

+ the ‘it’s just a demo’ argument doesn’t work anymore- what are you demo’ing if not your capabilities? What professional would not train as they fight? Why would you purposely downgrade yourself and humiliate your unit on a public stage if you had a choice?

Just issue Tavors to the entire IA at this point and be done with it. IA can be a million man SF unit by designation

Yes this would be prevelant where the CO is an asshole and career climber. It's not the norm or offical but pretty prevalent.

A big chunk of the Army (more so than other services) feudalism is a norm. Warfighting is a secondary objective. Even their wives live for this shit

A good CO even at platoon level would not do that. Infact i have known some COs who will give the best kit to the best men under him. Sometimes buying out of own pocket
True that sir, here's a picture of CO sahab leading an encounter in Baramulla with fiberglass helmet (in the middle) while his soldiers and everyone else is wearing MKU Advance combat helmet aka mukut even his Rifle and vest is also the same.

Number 1, 2,3.... rule is also applied to Rifle and equipments not just helmet atleast that's what I heard

Some of the incidents in last few years have been because of CO trying to get into the good books of Brig sahab.

Otherwise a COs job is to command and assess.

To me personally how i look at it is a CO not having confidence in his Coy Co and trying to get good ACRs.

Don’t mean to nitpick, but here again CO sahab is wearing his very visible Red collar tabs in an active duty situation. I remember having an argument with someone on this thread regarding this a while back, many were adamant that such things are taken off when in actual duty, but it can be seen it’s not always the case.

We have learnt absolutely nothing from Op Pawan. In US, UK or Israel, they wont even salute in a combat zone until they've reached the interior of their base or tent.
By the way is it only me or do we all agree that a unit like Special Group having it's own badge and beret with an insignia makes it obvious especially for an agency like R&AW. Neither CIA's SAD or UK's increment have a badge of their own, let alone allowing people to wear in public or after they return to their units.
