I just noticed they’ve got a bungee cord around their waists to prevent their big bulky tavors flopping about during fast roping. They either don’t have decent enough slings that can be tightened up to keep the rifles behind their backs or the guns are just too inherently cumbersome

Either way another case where they look a bit amateurish (Tavor isn’t a SF weapon and their demonstrations prove why). Hopefully the more dynamic their internal and multilateral training gets the more adapted to the real world they will be with techniques and equipment. In a real world scenario where they are fastroping into a mission they’d be incredibly delayed by having to get rid of their mittens then trying to unstrap their primary weapons meanwhile all other SFs have long since got on mission.

Tavor can only be an SF weapon with the proper attachments. Just like how the Israeli SF uses it, with a foregrip and a suppressor. Here our tavors we just slap an itl mars, mepro and we're good to go

The Israelis use the second Gen TAR. We use the first.

Also the Tier 1 SOF units do not use bullpups. Their secondary Commando Units may use depending on their unit orientation.

Doesn't a carbine make more sense for their duty profile ?
Does he "need" to sling around a battle rifle while providing relatively close protection ?
They do Use carbines/SMGs
Battle rifles are for a different purpose
Haven't you seen them running around with P90s?

The mittens/thicker gloves is how others do it too.

00:49 onwards

There's no other solution to prevent the abrasion burn on the hands while fast roping. One could wear heavier work gloves like the Mechanix Mpact 2 or 3, but they take away the dexterity needed to manipulate weapons later.

Guys I dont want to be "that guy" but I think the helmets that are being used by marcos are small for them or maybe bad design because the amount of gap between ears and protection is huge , thats why they are mounting the comtacs sideways like that, the comtacs wont cover ears with that massive gap ,View attachment 162931View attachment 162932
Bad design or too small , needs to be addressed immediately for operators safety ,
Also the plate carriers , I dont think that particular guy wore it wrong , I think the plates are not being worn properly by anyone or bad design ,look at photo below ,

Look at every plate , if the problem is in gear then do something about it ,if they are not wearing it right then teach them because they are compromising their own security .
Can't comment on the size of the helmets but all such models are highly adjustable, even the padding inside can be modified to suit the wearer's head. For the most part, the helmets look right sized, just improperly fastened by some of them.

The headsets that hang off the top are older models, nowadays its better to attach them to the back as that clears up space on the top for other stuff like lights, cameras etc.

The Safariland headset they got here is actually more Gucci/modern than the run of the mill Peltor COMTAC because of the mount's form factor.

What about plate carrier though , found lots of them hanging low from back , improper adjustments ?
