I do not think every gun would be fitted with optics. Optics would be only issued to mission critical Frontline troops. Average jawan will only use Iron sights.

Every jawan in IA or should have a sight, a basic Zeiss isn't really that expensive either, we even make in India under licence. It costs about $500.

I have a question to ask, something which i've been seeing quite a lot actually.
Arent indian soldiers taught trigger discipline? i.e finger on the receiver?
All the photos of them i've seen on the internet i've noticed that quite a lot of the soldiers have their fingers on the trigger. Why is it so?
Picture below for example, one can compare with the russians whose fingers are on the receiver.

Any reason why we aren't replacing our MP5, most other countries have already started replacing them with 5.56 carbine.

Is it our laziness or is MP5 still more practical then anything on our drawing board.
