‘if the Victfix is that bad then many nations will not be using it. Finland’s SAKO sniper rifle is good but not as good. There are comparable Indian rifles.WHY BUY VICTRIX SCORPIO?!!
Indian procurement system is probably worse than most: I came across news that Indian Army commanders can buy a small amount of weapons and equipment under emergency procurement powers. That’s good but I can only see corruption or incompetence.
Buying 30 or so Victrix Scorpio (each costs close to $10,000 with all the accessories) makes absolutely no sense when money is the limiting factor. You can buy 50 Sako TRG 42 or MRAD or AW with the same amount and get the same performance. Victrix is not even tested in battle!
Also, which other country has bought Victrix?! No one. Won’t that raise suspicion in Indian anti-corruption office? Whole world uses Sako, AI, Berett, Remington, PGM and without any trials super-expensive Victrix shows up as winner! Berretta is Italian Company and known to have indulged in corruption to secure orders. I am sure India knows Italians well by now.
I have similar doubts about procurement of overpriced Beretta MX-4 few years ago by India. These procurements smell badly of foul play.
