Wow!!! building energy corridors now.

Improving industrial traffic in Chhattisgarh & Odisha! Work on 206-km Jharsuguda-Bilaspur 4th line is moving apace.

So far, seven sections have been commissioned. Upon completion, this energy corridor will have a better transportation for industries, coal fields & steel plants.

This looks to be approximately the same speed as the "Acela Express" in America, which is the fastest operating train in this entire country (a "developed" country).

Acela covers 735km in 6.75 hours. Delhi RRTS looks much shorter????

I hope that in the second generation of Vande Bharat, they improve the front looks. It still look too geeky to me. I like the front end of the Delhi RRTS. That look really sleek and cool and future looking.
Vande Bharat is actually quite a dumb looking train TBH. Its front looks like someone almost forced to make it pointy

With introduction of Vande Bharat there is a need for change in the zoo of trains we have introduced more or less over the decades.

List of Train Services we are using.

1. Vande Bharat (MEMU Based) - Top speed of 160 KMPH (Sitting with possible sleeper). Inter city
2. Gatimaan - 160 KMPH (Normal) - Sitting. Intercity
3. Tejas Express - 130 KMPH - Sitting. Intercity.
4. Rajdhani
5. Shatabdi Express - Sitting Inter City.
6. Duronto - Same. Intercity with limited halts. (sitting + sleeper)
7. Humsafar - All AC sleeper
8. Double Decker
9. Uday Express - Renamed Double Decker running parallel to No.8
10. Jan Shatabdi - Low cost Shatabdi
11.Intercity -Same as 1,2,3,5,6,10
12. Garib Rath - Lallus love child. Same service as Humsafar (7)
13. Yuva Express - For Gen Z - Failed
14. Sampark Kranti - Discount Rajdhani
15. Kavi Guru Express - Mumtaz Begum Love child.
16. Vivek Express - Long distance train with long delays.
17. Rajya Rani - State capitals to Major districts within state. Again this will overlap with existing Superfast and Mail trains.
18. Mahamana - BJP's Love child.
19. Antyodaya Express - Unreserved Express.
20. Jan Sadardhan - Same as 19.
21. Suvidha - Premium (in price) trains
22. Janta Express - Same as 19,20.
23. Superfast
24. Express
25. Mail - With Mail compartmentalization.


We have 25 named services under IR. Some of them are basically love childs of UPA and NDA.
With Vande bharat introduction. IR should retire 2,3,5,11. Reason is VB overlaps the services and there is no big changes in pricing.

Next the introduction of Antyodaya - Simply we can retire 20,22. Under Antyodaya we can run unreserved services in AC and Non AC fashion.

17 - Rajya Rani - It is already overlapped with 23,24,25. It will be replaced by VB for larger states.

Humsafar can easily replace the Garib rath monstrocity.

Begum lovechild can also be phased out.

Vivek Express will be there for its novelty.

Rajdhani and Duronto - VB sleeper version will take care.

DD and Udhay Express - Make it single.

Consolidating this above ZOO will reduce the same wine in new bottles. Also once limited Services are there we can allow private players to ran some things instead of current IR.

Humsafar can easily replace the Garib rath monstrocity.

Rajdhani and Duronto - VB sleeper version will take care.
Personally, I would say, replace Garib Rath with 3AC Economy and get rid of Humsafar. 3AC Economy was orginally meant to replace Garib Rath coaches and has more berths than Garib Rath.

Humsafar was good in the beginning, as it was meant to be a 3AC luxury train, but now, it's bad.... Same dull blue and white mental asylum color inside the coach, instead of the previous colorful bright livery. Also, service is overall bad, always delay and not worth the money.

And Rajdhani could be converted to Tejas Rajdhani as an upgrade......

VB Sleeper should be the apt one for replacing the Rajdhani. Due to better acceleration and Comfort compared to LHB coaches.
