I'm suggesting Arads
Arads are an excellent AR based platform they offer both 11.5" and 14.5", so 'muh bullpups are compact' argument doesn't hold water
They also have one with 16.5" in the drawing board

Not to mention it is modular as fuck

It's difficult to stay on target with a bullpup, expecially if you're not used to it
Whereas a conventional system is better in handling, target acquisition, reloading etc etc

Caracals are good weapons too
It didn't go anywhere
Hopefully Dalals get to phuck mossad chicks instead of FSB chicks and starts lobbying for Arads for the carbine
Nah mate. mossad chicks aren't the phucky kind; they'll more likely phuck them up instead. :lawl:

We should ditch bullpups
Anyway we're filling the pocket of Jews, why not do it by purchasing a few Arads
the iwi arad will be too expensive, the caracal 816 will do the job for sog or heck, new ofb weapons department could make an ar 15 copy and we could save ourselves some taxpayer's moola at the same quality but we could always buy x95 like naga stf's

This should be protested by all the private arms industries in India.

This is a P-72 RECR "Wrecker" by SSS Defence
View attachment 129641

There is a marksman version and a carbine version of this rifle available as well.

TAVOR X-95 is made in India with Adani Defence. The paras already use the TAR-21 older variants to deadly effect. Need I say more?

Why were these not even considered?

No state or central governments must be allowed to import when there are local options available. No matter how urgent it is.

  1. What is the need to go for foreign rifles when there are those available by Indian makers in India?
  2. If every state and agency keeps importing "top global standard" rifles, then when and how does Indian industry evolve?
  3. The private sector is not an endless well of resources; they have limited capital and budgets. What assurances can the Government give them they will not collapse?
There are many AR-15 rifle fanboys here, but the reality is that if we have to become self-reliant, there will have to be partial curbs on imports no matter how undemocratic or unfair they are.

Otherwise, kiss the private sector goodbye.
As much i would love SSS Defense guns in services hand but they dont have a single video out showing it shooting. Bullpups are not that great instead from PLR Arad, Galil etc can be chosen if needed in future. And ASMI always has a potential.

J&K police set to get firepower boost with American Sig Sauer assault rifles
J&K Police personnel will soon get American Sig Sauer assault rifles and pistols for anti-terror operations. The force will be procuring 500 Sig Sauer-716 rifles and 100 Sig Sauer MPX 9mm pistols. The Special Operation Group (SoG) & personnel deployed for security of protected people will be equipped with the weapons. The Sig Sauer-716 assault rifle has a more powerful 7.62x51mm cartridge as compared to the 5.56x45mm intermediate cartridge of the INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) rifles used by police. Similarly, the SIG MPX 9mm pistol, which weighs 2.94 kilograms without magazine, fires at a cyclic rate of 850 rounds per minute. Watch the full video for more.

wonder why they got bumps than ballistic but guess it might hinder mobility
Ballistic High Cuts are extremely light, considering they don’t use heavy night vision devices regularly they don’t require a bump helmet, this is purely for cost reasons. High Cut Ballistic helmets cost greater than $800-1000.
