i dont understand....why are we inducting 7.62 rounds for urban ops....ak series are good for waging war n coin ops...everyone is moving to short barrel weapons for close urban shootout...like m416....

UP POLICE ATS, it's elite(er?) wing SPOT and BDS with MP5A3s and HK PSG-1 (also used by NSG and CRPF QAT) and a BPJ pretty reminiscent of SPG.
Pretty professional looking, I must say.

Probably not... Indian forces selections have overwhelming amount of stress given on endurance & stamina, so that's what these people train for. They're only needed to be strong enough to carry their gear & load, then not going to be fighting with clubs & mauls after all.

You'd find their legs much more well-built! The below image is the product of a day in NDA (where young officer cadets go through a 4-years-long course before joining Indian Military Academy in future).

Ready action troops but not as good equipped as GARUDA Force which is for whole state

Indian Army should we use this pattern in the desserts, already being used in several paramilitary forces.

Isn't NDA training 3 years long and then an year at IMA, thus 4 years in total of training?
