They're only for parliament. Basically normal cops but inside the parliament house. Just like air marshals who are plain clothed armed commandos on flights

Air or sky marshals are deployed in high risk international aircrafts such as the ones flying to places like Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, etc Apart from that they are also deployed in domestic flights to places like J&K and the North Eastern States. The Sky Marshals are usually appointed on deputation for a period of 2 years from the National Security Guard (NSG) - Special Action Group (SAG) and even paramilitary. The identity of these Marshals are not revealed to any of the passengers flying. Only the pilots and the cabin crew are aware of them. They carry Glock Pistols.

The UP Police sub-inspector Prashant Yadav was shot in the neck when he was chasing the accused in Neherra village under the limits of Khandauli police station of Agra district.

The whole region from Meerut to Agra is like this. Lot of desi katta making in the farms and firing on people on even small heated talks.
Will need 4-5 yeras of constant beating of local bhaiyas by Police to change this culture.

Greater Noida was like this 15-20 years back. Total lawlessness. There was a decade of heavy Policing in the area during BJP-BSP govt and then Independent BSP govt.
Police beat the sh*t out of all local netas and bhaiyas and made the place livable for all college students.
But after BSP govt was over the place fell back to lawlessness although not at the same level as before.

And that's the difference between stf and normal Police? You need to understand all these departments have the same men from state police, different names and department based on armament and training, that's it.
