All of those that are listed are considered by the USN to be part of the "string of pearls"

still not naval bases and USA will keep China out of gwadar
Did you not see the article? The US is ENCOURAGING Chinese presence in the Indian Ocean. Plus, the Gwadar Port was paid for by the Chinese, and the US doesn't have any strong say.

hahahhaha. Give me links/sources or don't assert.

"The Gwadar Port was built on a turnkey basis by China and signifies an enlarging Chinese footprint in a critically important area. Opened in spring 2007 by then Pakistani military ruler General Pervez Musharraf, in the presence of Chinese Communications Minister Li Shenglin, Gwadar Port is now being expanded into a naval base with Chinese technical and financial assistance."

"China has acknowledged that Gwadar’s strategic value is no less than that of the Karakoram Highway, which helped cement the China-Pakistan nexus. In addition to Gwadar serving as a potential Chinese naval anchor, Beijing is also interested in turning it into an energy-transport hub by building an oil pipeline from Gwadar into Chinese-ruled Xinjiang."
Gwadar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And it was Admiral Timothy J. Keating, who heads the Hawaii-based US Pacific Command, that said he encourages Chinese presence. It is not a journalist whose guessing, but an actual military commander. The Admiral even wants eventual Chinese participation in the Indo-US Malabar exercise.

How about the Admiral's own words.

Do you even have a source? At least I posted something.

What the hell...this article mentions nothing about the strategic importance of the Gwadar Port for the Chinese. The sole mention it brings up is that the Chinese funded it.

The entire article is about who which Pakistani entitiy will operate the Port.

Nice try, but this article is bogus. It proves nothing.

IntelliBriefs: China calls halt to Gwadar refinery

The port was officially declared functional last December, yet the outlook there is also uncertain.

Ports and Shipping Minister Babar Khan Ghauri said late last month that the port may be shut down if the navy did not vacate the land

Pakistan wants 12 billion and chinese hot shots can't afford it.
