Israeli system is not Integrated with Russian ones. The BARAK-8 has its own MFSTAR radar and fire controls. I don't see which equipment of Israel with which item of Russia the integration took place?

Japanese are vassals of USA. Japan is not an independent country and its foreign policy is dictated by USA. We can't collaborate with Japanese without USA collaboration

It's about being better host for providing ride to Japan than US. Japan is still a great power (just not militarily) and can switch sides if a more reliable partner emerges for it.

This means picket ships on the frontlines can target enemy units for missile tankers - an American concept that I am seeing being implemented by IN.

Imagine small stealthy patrol boats locking onto enemy units from close range and then guiding in Brahmos missiles fired by some modified tanker carrying 80 of them, 600kms away.

There was a talk about making our islands into a permanent base with all three services..some months back.
not much about it is floating around...

Eh this seems most unlikely at the current time.
Chinese aren't strong nor dumb enough to assault a land mass so far away from their mainland. Their best destroyer gets stuck in Indian ocean right now.

Unfortunately India is not a more reliable partner than US.
Japan need a maritime power to protect her access to resources and market

Both China and US are the top 2 markets to Japanese products, they can simply shut down from the end market and India won't be helpful no matter how strong she is.
In terms of resource.
1. India won't be better than USA. It is USN not IN is controlling the India Ocean.
2. There is nothing India navy can do beyond India Ocean, especially in East Asia.

Indian Navy Receives First Delivery Of BrahMos Missile To Be Fitted On Advanced Talwar Class Frigates

The Indian Navy has received delivery of the first BrahMos missile which will be installed on its Talwar class frigates which are currently being built at the Yantar shipyard at Russia’s Kaliningrad, Jane’s Defence has reported.

BrahMos aerospace will also supply an eight-cell vertical launch system (VLS) and a ship-borne control unit to the Indian Navy for integration into the battleships.

As part of the Talwar Project 1135.6, India would receive the delivery of two modified Krivak III-class frigates, which will incorporate various Indian designs and manufacturing systems.

As reported recently, the hulls of these two frigates are already ready and they have been launched into the water by the ship makers.

Both the ships are expected to be delivered to India by 2022 and when complete, would be armed with the deadly BrahMos missile.
In total, Indian Navy is expected to induct four such frigates, two of which would be built in Goa. The total deal for the warships is said to be worth $2.2 billion.

India is set to hand over Myanmar its first ever submarine, with a Kilo class boat likely to be sent across this year after being refitted indigenously.

The INS Sindhuvir will be used by the Myanmar Navy — which is looking at acquiring its own submarine fleet in the coming years — for training purposes.

The Kilo class submarine, bought from Russia in the 1980s, is currently being modernised by the Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in Vizag with sources saying that work is likely be completed before the end of this year.

Sources have told ET that requisite permissions have been taken from Russia that is the original manufacturer of the submarine and that it will be fitted with indigenous systems to train the Myanmar Navy.

There have been a series of high level exchanges and meetings between the two nations in recent months, with the Myanmar Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services (CDS) Senior General Min Aung Hlaing currently on an official visit to India.

The Indian Defence Ministry has said that that talks with the Senior General were aimed to “enhance defence co-operation, review joint exercises and training provided to Myanmar Defence Services, strengthen maritime security by joint surveillance and capacity building…and developing new infrastructure”.

The transfer of the submarine is likely to take place with a line of credit (LoC) that has been extended by India to Myanmar for enhancing military capability. The Indian initiative, sources said, came after extensive talks with the Myanmar leadership over the past four years to understand their defence needs.
As part of the capacity building, earlier this month India supplied Myanmar with advanced light torpedoes named `Shyena’ as part of a $ 38 million export deal that was signed in 2017. The torpedoes were manufactured by the state owned Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).
The agreement over the transfer of a submarine comes even as China has been making considerable efforts to supply underwater weapon systems in the region. Sources said that China had also been in talks with Myanmar for the supply of its older submarines. In 2017, Bangladesh received two refurbished Type 035G-class submarines (Ming class) from China as part of a $ 203 million deal, a move that was watched with caution in India as it symbolized the increasing dependence of the neighboring nation on Beijing.

Sources said that the Kilo class (Project 877) being transferred by India is significantly more capable that the Ming class that was sold by China and is suitable for operations in the region as has been demonstrated by the Indian Navy. The deal with Myanmar also includes a significant training package to prepare the neighbouring nation for induction of a larger fleet in the coming years.

In March this year, Commodore Moe Aung, Chief of Staff (Myanmar Navy) had announced that the nations would soon have a submarine arm. The senior officer said that acquiring submarines was part of a long term plan that includes training of crew that would need at least four years. Senior Myanmar officials have visited Russia in recent months for talks on acquiring new submarines and training experience on the INS Sindhuvir is likely to come in handy.
