The 2 Admiral Grigorovich-class frigates which are intended for Indian Navy

"Admiral Istomin" (plant number 01361) and "Admiral Kornilov" (plant number 01362) of the modified project 11356 at the PJSC "Baltic Shipyard" Yantar ", suspended by construction, are being constructed in Kaliningrad, pic from 14.11.2017,
the other 2 will be built in GSL Goa.....

4 shipyards in battle for 6 hi-speed landing craft

Pushing towards developing the Indian Navy’s amphibious warfare capabilities, four major local shipyards are in a race to construct six highspeed landing craft (HSLC) that will strengthen the country’s ability to land troops, tanks and armoured vehicles on enemy shores.

Reliance Naval & Engineering, L&T shipyard, Goa Shipyard and Cochin Shipyard have responded to the Navy’s request for information (RFI) to procure the HSLC, issued on September 22, sources with knowledge of the matter said. The RFI seeks details of contractors’ technical and financial capabilities to manufacture the equipment.

The Navy wants the HSLC to transport tanks, armoured vehicles, equipment and cargo of at least 65 tonnes, plus a minimum of 180 troops, from ship to shore.

The HSLC will have strong bulletproof and armour plating with machine guns on both sides, providing protection to the personnel it is transporting. They will also have cameras for all-round viewing.

Indian Naval Vessel Reaches Tanzania for Joint Hydro-Graphic Survey

Tanzanian naval personnel will undergo training on advanced hydro-graphic equipment and practices on board INS Sarvekshak – an Indian Navy specialized survey ship.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — The Indian Navy’s INS Sarvekshak has arrived at Dar es Salaam and will carry out a joint hydro-graphic survey with the Tanzanian Navy. With this, the Indian Navy intends to strengthen cooperation with African nations and increase its sphere of influence in the Indian Ocean region.

“During the survey, training of Tanzanian personnel will also be undertaken on advanced hydro-graphic equipment and practices. The ship will visit Dar-es-Salaam harbor in Tanzania during the stay for re-fueling and replenishing stores and provisions,” the Indian Navy said in a statement.

“The ship will be undertaking a pioneer survey of Pemba Island which will include detailed surveys of Port of Wesha and Kiuyo and Pemba Channel in Tanzania and on the completion will be proceeding to Port Louis in Mauritius in December for a survey of the Grand Port,” the statement further read.

Based on paper specs, NGC is a multi-role design vs NGMV which is obviously a more focussed class of ship.

At this point of time, little is known on either. Whether even they have progressed to RFP stage or not.

NGC - 18 nov 2016
and according to NGC RFI Deliverys expected from 2023

One of my friends gave me following list.
1) At leat six Kalvari class under P-75
2) At least six P-75I
3) Naval Group asking for additional three to six Super Scorpene seperately excluding two mentioned projects
4) Six upgraded Kilo class which will be replaced by
5) Indigenous SSK
6) Total twelve indigenous nucear sub
7) Maximum two nuke sub leased from Russia

Means min 18 + 12 + 1 and max 24 + 12 + 2?

Now can anyone validate it?

Nope, these are only baby steps. Rapid militarization is on the cards, most likely from 2025. MIC also forms a major part of GDP boosting in a meaningful manner. Let the infrastructure building like roads, houses for poor, river linking etc be built to a decent amount first. Then, the next step is militarization.

I guess that strength is upto for 2030-32.
