Isn't this being built by L&T ?Didn't GRSE outsource this ?

Beside those 8 anti-sub warfare shallow water crafts India is to acquire 12 Mine-countermeasure verssels to be made by GSL, possibly the "MSW-II" model is S.Korea based on Yangyang-class minesweeper (as IN wants a pre-proven platform).
No progress...

No. GRSE underbid L&T and then offloaded the actually building to L&T. Typical PSU fuckers.

Now there is a new RFI and GSL will have to bid this time to win. It won't be nominated to them like last time.

Tonnage - 4000 tons
Laid down - Oct 2019
Commissioned - April 2022
Time - 2.5 years
4000 tons with all round warfare capabilities.

I'll post more photos after getting it from my friend. What I was surprised about was that how many American aircrafts the navy used to fly. My 25 year old brain always assumed that because the IAF flies Soviet jets now and in the past, that the Navy was also Soviet heavy. Realised it while standing at the Museum that almost all of our naval aircrafts were either American or British

From the Yoga day pics, we can say that MFSTAR has been installed. However until and unless it starts Sea trials, we cant give a credible timeline for commissioning. After we see it sailing, we can estimate 6 more months for the trials to end and commissioning to happen. My overall guess would be first quarter of 2025 Calendar year.
