INAS 312 squadron operating P8I aircraft based at Arakkonam clocks 40,000 hrs as the aircraft complete a decade of diverse Naval Operations. The first P8I landed at #INSRajali on 15 May 13 with Capt H S Jhajj as the first Commanding Officer.

Just a question, regarding our mig 29Ks

I have always thought they had 7 hardpoints - 6 undewing and one belly. However, multiple official Russian sites claim 8 hardpoints, which I havent seen atleast on our planes.

Anyone who can shed light on this?

It has 8 hard points to hold munitions, the belly one is only for the external fuel tank/buddy refuelling.

IN is now calling LRSAM as MRSAM.

It was always the case. IAF calls Barak- 8 as LRSAM while IN calls it MRSAM.
