Requires F-35B to maximize its potential. 🤞
No thanks
If the F-35 is accessible, acquiring it is a no-brainer. It represents a quantum leap in technology over any existing carrier-borne aircraft. But considering India is an S-400 operator, its very unlikely to be approved for sale so its a pointless discussion.

Don't give up too soon.

Thought your buddy Russia gave that only to Chinese. Good to know you have it as well.
Russia will give those to who provide money
So as things progress and your establishment thinks in right direction then co operation will get stronger and result in betterment of both parties let's see

At this point, it's up to India IMO to show commitment to cooperation. Tail doesn't wag the dog.

Um, for F-35 you have to request it, provide guarantees for its sensitive information and hope to get approval. No other way.
This is good in a way,you don't want any country to barge onto our flagship project that is going to solidify our military aviation industry .

We must deny any factions within our country from importing any 5th gen aircraft so that our military gets it into their heads that imported weapons in this category will not be allowed.

This post seems like hogwash nonsense made by someone with too much time in their hand...there's been only 1 mention of p17b and thats by overdefense article written by @HellHoundIN in twitter only he can give u details about it if he has them
Hogwash or not, aside from the names of the vessels and the class they belong to, the Specs aren't too dissimilar to what Indian Navy might be planning for these vessels. However some rookie errors can't be helped but noticed, like Akash NG and Barak 1? Lol, VL-SRSAM be crying in a corner.

Yeah but specifications are very similar to what's in media or discussed in forum
But the names of weapons and systems seems wrong

r/GlobalPowers is NOT a serious subreddit, it's to post fiction fantasy.

P-17B (if it happens) will not get Israeli MF-STAR, there will be no further deals to import MF-STAR for Naval ships after Dec 2022. P-17B (if it happens) will likely sport a variant if LR-MFR.
10m draught is simply a big NO.
It will be more feasible to have the same hull as P-17A (same size), but let's see what happens.
3,000km at 28-30knots  NOPE, P-17A can only do 1,000nm (~1,850km) at 28 knots, it's unlikely to get such a big boost unless there's a good increase in size.
Barak-8ER is an israeli project, DRDO/India is not involved in it, and we are unlikely to be still importing long range SAM for our ships in mid-late 20s, Indigenous long range air defense system would likely be ready at the time of fitting.
UVLS & IFEP has good chances and P-17B can act as a gap filler between NGD/NGF in that regards.
CMS-28 is for Kamorta, not for capital ships. IEP comes under Make-I, so either BEL will make one by itself or we will be making a different version for ourselves utilising the expertise & experience of GE (US), it could be joint IP or just India getting the IP for that particular system.

127mm naval gun comes under make-I, no oto breda 127mm, and IN has LWT tubes on P-17 frigates, P-17A & B might get the same.

The post on r/GlobalPower is complete fantasy that is not to be taken seriously.

Anyone with sufficient badic knowledge can create spec list like that...whatever the case lets hope p17b is real if not we will have some 3-4 gap of not having any surface capital ship under construction

I would suggest to take his words with a castle of salt, he picks unverified news from 2nd grade websites and posts it, sometimes picks actual news/release & adds stuff that wasn't even present.
"While the information provided may be correct, it's better to verify and know your sources"

Here he added "massive" & "75,000 tonnes" out of nowhere, CSL did not even mention "massive" or the tonnage but he decided to make it 75,000T
Actual release-
The shipyard is also augmenting their infrastructure including a new dry dock to cater for the construction of even larger ships including a next generation Aircraft Carrier.

Yeah he sometimes can be unreliable.but I do think IN would increase the tonnage of NGAC from 65k to 75k
