Don't be surprised if it takes 3 years to declare the winner. And 2 years after that for financial negotiations.
And when MoD, MoF, and IN are about to sign, ADA would have test flown the prototype and request the govt if it waits for just 3 years IN would have an indigenous ac with indigenous weapons suite.

IN would be back to square zero. The problem iwth history is it always has a chance of repeating itself.

Look for mfstar , scaling down is quite easy on ground based radars or shipborne
