Chinese industrial capacity at display here, they are putting out new carriers Evey year as if it were crockery.
I belive they want 10+ aircraft carrier by 2030 both for dominating their waters and international waters.

How many dry docks do they have for carriers of that size?
2 dry docks to accomodate AC and one new under construction.

At any time 3 cab be built.

3 they already have.

Their construction cycle is 4 years
In 8 year they cab build 6 more.

They can't keep the shipyard idle either because it's one of the driving force of the economy.

LOL , what a rubbish news report...

this is the NAVAL drydock for two levels of maintenace. just like your IN's new dry dock in Mumbai Navy base...it has a length of 350m ...lol...Gerald R. Ford-class is 333m long.

oh...there is another one in some north naval base...

----------------------------
and if you want to know how many drydocks could contain a over 300m long carrier in China...errrrrrrrrrrr...
I would like to say the number would be 'dozens ' if not near a hundred...lol...they are well distributed in the shipyards on the coastline from the north to south.

btw, the Type 003 is being assembled in the 'shortest' drydock among all four which JNCX shipyard owns on this site. this drydock was 'devided' into two sections and only the 2/3 length is used for the carrier super blocks assembly work... there are two more dry docks in thither WGQ shipyard, another two under construction on the HDZH shipyard new site which just in the east on the same side of river bank.

but such Infrastructures don't mean every shipyard could build a aircraft carrier.

LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF TUSHIL - P1135.6 FOLLOW ON FRIGATE (EX-RUSSIA)

Posted On: 29 OCT 2021 11:14AM by PIB Delhi

The 7th Indian Navy Frigate of P1135.6 class was launched on 28 Oct 2021 at Yantar Shipyard, Kaliningrad, Russia in presence of Shri D Bala Venkatesh Varma, Ambassador of India (Moscow) and senior dignitaries of the Russian Federation and officials of the Indian Navy. During the ceremony, the ship was formally named as ‘Tushil’ by Smt Datla Vidya Varma. Tushil is a Sanskrit word meaning Protector Shield.

Based on an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) between the Government of Republic of India and Government of Russian Federation for construction of two ships of Project 1135.6 ships in Russia and two ships in India at M/s Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), the contract for construction of two ships was signed between India and Russia in Oct 18.

The construction of these ships is based on Indian Navy’s specific requirements to meet the entire spectrum of naval warfare in all three dimensions of Air, Surface and Sub-surface. The ships with a potent combination of state-of-art Indian and Russian Weapons and Sensors are equipped to operate in Littoral and Blue waters, both as a single unit and as consort in a naval task force. They feature “stealth technology” in terms of low radar and under water noise signatures. These ships are being equipped with major Indian supplied equipment such as Surface to Surface Missiles, Sonar system, Surface Surveillance Radar, Communication Suite and ASW system along with Russian Surface to Air Missiles and gun mounts.

Mr Ilya Samarin, Director General, Yantar Shipyard, Kaliningrad, in his address dwelt upon the challenges faced by the Shipyard in executing the complex shipbuilding project. Despite challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic, production of the ships was continued by utilisation of innovative solutions. He thanked the Indian Government for their unstinted support and reiterated shipyard’s commitment to deliver the ships as per contractual timelines. Shri D Bala Venkatesh Varma, Ambassador of India (Moscow), highlighted the long standing tradition of Military Technical Cooperation between India and Russia. He acknowledged the efforts put in by the Yantar Shipyard to ensure that the ship was launched as per contractual timelines overcoming the challenges imposed by COVID-19.

Only have pics of the Bridge of P15A & P17....not of CIC.

I don't believe it was ever revealed...even as a render.

Arihant's inside? Forget it...there are barely any good pics of the outside let alone inside lol.

There was an incident back in 2014 when the PLAN Chief requested to be allowed inside the Shivalik's CIC, but was refused by IN brass.

This entire article reads like a 'The Onion' article. So bizarre.

At this, Wu was told that he was welcome to visit the CIC during the exercise, which was slated for the following day in the Yellow Sea.
I hope they did not go through with this.

Shivalik has a CIC? I thought they continued the Delhi class' design philosophy with distributed "citadels" .
You are confusing Shivalik with Kolkata seems like.

Shivalik has no discernable lineage to Delhi class. Shivalik is extremely Western in terms of design, both inside & out.

As of Kolk, I'm willing to bet it does have a CIC. The level of information gathering capacity & implementation of digital architectures would necessitate this. At the time Kolk was capable of gathering & disseminating much more data much more quickly than ANY Russian surface ship...probably still is.

This is a CEC-capable ship, mind you.

A good read regarding the architectures involved:

I heard that Navy data links and SDRs are indigenous and manufactured by BEL. Does that mean that the entire CEC capbility was also developed indigenously? Or is it something that came with MF-STAR/Barak-8?
