any idea if our weapon systems will be made IRNSS compatible? atleast the desi ones. or will the military utility only be upto navigational instruments on equipment?

IRNSS is just for navigation for civilians and military.
Spy satellites are different and have much higher resolution. Anyway, India has some spy SATs as well:-
RISAT-1
RISAT-2
CCI Sat(not confirmed it was launched or not. It is said that it was almost to go in sky in 2014. Now, it's a secret. :devious:)
CartoSat series of satellite.
Yet Cartosats are communication for IAF, IA and IN, they are believed to carry spying capable observation instruments with them. Many countries blamed but they couldn't prove a $hit against us. :peace:

We should start putting video cameras on the tanks, so we can see footage of it climbing

Kudos to the scientists and engineers for another consistent and successful launch.

One correction, india cartosat satellite have high resolution camera with 1m spatial resolution not communication satellite. Carto-sat the name says what it does.

ISRO to Launch 2 Navigation Satellites Before March 31

Idian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch the last two of the seven constellation satellites by March 31. The satellites -- 1 F and 1 G -- of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System will be ready for launch before March end, said Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Director, ISRO Satellite Centre here on Saturday.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event in a private school here, the ISRO scientist said the Rs.1,350 crore IRNSS project has a total of 9 satellites, with 7 satellites on the orbit and 2 satellites as stand-by.
According to Dr. Annadurai, once the final satellites are launched, the IRNSS would place India on a par with the US that ruled the orbit with its advanced American Navigation Satellite System.

Tracing the timeline of the IRNSS project, Dr.Mylswamy said the first satellite 1 A was launched in 2013, followed by satellites 1 B and 1 C in 2014; 1 D in 2015 and 1 E in January this year. On ISRO’s successful Mars Probe Mangalyan, he hinted at a possible order that will allow outsiders (foreign scientists and research institutions) to use the Mars Orbiter Mission for their research. “An order to that effect is likely to be released soon,” he said.

This is based on the Hindu Saptarishi constellation.
Please elaborate on this......
7 Stars are there in Saptarshi constellation and 7 satellites are there in IRNSS.
Many Countries and Supernational Bodies like US, EU, Russia, China, India and Japan name their inventory on ancient trends to represent their cultures.
Anyway, I wanna see a global system for 35-40 navigation satellites very soon.

If it's only number you are looking at, then it is fine.

Saptarishi constellation looks like a kite.

I would also like to see this expanding into a global Gps-like network.

One interesting thing about the coverage of IRNSS is that, it's coverage area is exactly the area of influence of india in the region.

There's more to it than just the number. It is also used by our missiles and satellites as a guidance-by-reference navigation system. Bramhos and Mangalyaan projects use this navigation technique by using various natural constellations as reference points (this is separate from the artificial IRNSS constellation that we are talking about).

In addition to what our Hindu brother @Indx TechStyle said,
Laga rah bhai.

India wants to become a world power at the league of US, Russia and China. Obviously, before clashing over international issues, we must have a strong grip on our region, like US has in west, Russia has in Eurasia, China had in East Asia, India must have in Indian Ocean Region.

We should at least send poisonous snakes to Diaego Garcia if not a full invasion. Those freaking white monkeys have no business camping on that island. Or at least sign a mutual non-aggression pact with China and let them conquer it.

Expand India's Power to global level, get a permanent seat in UNSC and start doing bully in Indian Ocean and occupy all Brit and French controlled islands.
China claims SCS, why we can't at least bully IO?
