Wow, nice collection, mate. I too had some first hand experiences on my 3 trips to Katra in J&K by train through Punjab. I saw a train carrying T-72s at Pathankot which is a garrison town and an airbase.

They look pretty in pictures.

I have much experience in travelling on these so called 'military specials'.

The electricity does not last a day, the water finishes and it is a huge hassle to get the railways to have the batteries recharged and water filled since these are usually available on the main platforms and they shove us off on sidings!

They don't have the military kitchen cars that are authorised and we have to do with Cs where a makeshift langar is set up.

And the defence pays for these trains!!

Do our Missile trains have coaches that look like the goods type or passenger type?

It is not that we don't want, it is the railways who churn up excuses and we cannot delay our movement since it is all taken as 'operational moves'.

Of course, the Movement Dte should act, but then, it appears that Delhi inertia grips them too!
