Sequence same as the previous Gaganyaan Integrated Main Parachute Airdrop Test (IMAT) from Indian Airforce's IL-76 Aircraft which ISRO did last year. This time a crew module was used testing actual Crew Escape System instead of a dummy payload released from a heavy transporter aircraft.

Gslv mk 2 boosters l40 are liquid fuel based just like vikas - they ignite at the onset. So not exactly first time.

Yes Admire would be similar vehcile with modifications.
