http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/world/1052757/bangladesh-india-mount-rescue-for-flood-hit-elephant
1.For over a month this elephant has been roaming around inside BD. Indian authorities have now sent a team to try and retrieve. Meanwhile the animal has grown weak for lack of food in that are. Moreover, the villagers drive it away from their fields and fodder.
2. We hear a lot about the very great barrier called the barbed-wire fencing. Off and on Indian media and posters joke about our people "pole vaulting" over this fence. So how did this elephant manage to cross. The floods hadn't inundated that area yet, and in any case does not rise over the fencing.
3. Good news for us in BD is that there will be no shortage of cattle during the coming Bakr Eid. This barrier is no obstacle to cattle.
