Taiwan have competent industry. Don’t know what can India export besides basic and raw stuff.
we aren't really looking to export things to them, we are mostly looking to import their semiconductor Chips that we can package into other high value products.
Remember Japan import steel at chump change prices and make a Vernier caliper out of it which we buy back at 5,000 rs

Right. I'm pretty sure India exported scooters to Taiwan as far back as the 1970s. The computer training institute Aptech has a presence. There must be IT companies or IT professionals working there. And if India is largely exporting raw materials and agri-products, nothing wrong with it.

The primary objective for Taiwan maybe another front for TSMC due to Taiwan declining population. On the other hand, we have decent level of skilled people and if Taiwan decides to invest in India, we can supply them with human resource. Another advantage they may get a big market share in Indian electronics market. Hope it will like our Bike stories where we depend on foreign companies than observed tech from them and now currently pretty big in developing markets and also have significant tech sharing with the same foreign companies.

We can supply FMCG products, automobiles, engineering goods etc.

I often watch “asianometry” guys on youtube. He is from Taiwan,in guess. Besides electronics Taiwan companies are huge contract manufacture for many other things like shoes ,textiles (for which they usuall set their factories in Taiwan, china and nearby asean country)There are nearby asean countries which are again price competent in many other industries which will be competing with ours.
not against it ,just pondering that’s all.

He makes Excellent videos.

One thing I have observed that Asians or Orientals in Western sense make far better and more educational videos than us Indians.

We need to improve in this sense, it seems us Indian are only good for making tutorial videos online.

There is this another guy from channel "Accented Cinema" who is Chinese origin Canadian citizen. He makes much better Cinema specific videos then any Indian on YouTube.

Yes, I will go as far as saying Asian country(far east )have something (don’t have word I guess, I will use superior)otherwise what reason could be there all Asian countries are industrilized and others which started at the same did not and are in pathetic situation.
When the power centers were in east instead of west even then these country were thriving and prosperous.
And now see the Africa.indian subcontinent ,Middle East etc

You see china a communist country -industrialised
ROC, - again a industrialised

Both have same people.

Automotives, heavy machinery, aerospace, industrial machines, heavy equipments like heat exchangers, boilers and chemical reactors etc. are which can be valuable for Taiwan.

A good analysis on why India's semiconductor ambitions did not bear fruit in the past.

What happened to the semiconductor plant in gujrat. It seems the news has faded back.
Some VERY BOLD claims about beginning operations(and that too of 28nm) at the Dholera plant in Gujarat by 2025-2026.

https://focustaiwan.tw/business/202210170011

Then there's the Semicon City in Gujarat which should aid this deal hopefully creating an ecosystem.

https://government.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/technology/with-gujarats-policy-push-dholeras-semicon-city-set-to-become-the-national-hub-of-semiconductor-industries/93248542

But just to let people know, temper yourselves & don't get your hopes up just yet; all sides are talking very audaciously and we have seen big projects like this fizzle out; see the 'India's Semiconductor Failure' video.

Foxconn themselves promised some $10 billion investment in the Wisconsin plant in US, Trump was blowing that shit out of proportion and look at it now. It's barely a billion in and deemed a failure.

Read this interview of the Ex Foxconn head of the WIsconsin project, it is stright up frustrating to read.:rage:

‘This manufacture is a real stuff; not bold claims. If you are Chinese then you do not like it but tuff luck.

People have high hopes on this manufacture. It need not be continuous news.
