When some one attacks my Identity, I attack theirs too.
Wonderful. Keep at it !! :clap2:

A few yrs from now , same agenda , different forum . Btw roots from the south here too though settled in the west since a few generations with plenty of relations still down south.

Last heard & seen , I've never come across a single Kannadiga or Telugu speaker who looks up to Tamil Nadu as their leader or some state to be emulated as an ideal or even consider them as some sort of spokesperson for the south. So who exactly died & left the Tamil as Thalaiva of South India.

Its not southern CM’s but southern people are being abused here. That too by a section who did the least for this country.
Okay, I was trying to be polite with you but probably that was a mistake.

Who the hell are you to judge people on their contributions? I am not a Bihari and it doesn't really bother me but you literally threw jibes at them; you have no right to whine here having done the same.

Enough materials have been provided by members to puncture your claims of self-sufficiency of a few states and there is a reason why Pranab Mukherjee the then President (also a former finance Minister) openly admitted how disastrous FEP was for northern states. And when the policy was done away with post liberalization some states benefitted disproportionately.

Firth and Liu's paper would puncture all your claims.

I am attaching another paper that studied the unequal liberalization post 1991.

If these peer reviwed academic papers do not convince you; nothing will.

Another article from our enlightened Bengali Bhadralok Andy Fu-Kher-jee.
These people like RR who are already pronouncing the failure of PLI need to realize that even China doesn't do that much of value addition. It's barely 3 years since the scheme launched and the real capacity building started only 1.5-2 years ago. These kinds of schemes need a long gestation period and results wont be apparent at least till 6-7 years. Moreover, It always starts with assembly, nobody is gonna move their whole component ecosystem to India in 3 years. China and ASEAN countries have been in this game for many decades when UPA led India was sleeping.

At least for Apple products, here's a rough distribution:

Thanks for this post, the whole AsSeMbLy vS MaNuFaCtuRiNg propagandu is so pervasive that you even find guys on this forum getting all dejected with the regular media proclamations of how Make in India has failed.
I screenshotted your post and can bring it out anytime such folks appear.

(((Mihir Sharma))) & (((Randi Mukherjee))) are the two eminent anti-India propagandists of Gloomberg, they have never posted anything pro-India, even if there is any good news they will spin it as bad.
Gloomberg as a whole is woke and anti-India, mostly pro China rag.

IndiGo is ordering 500 aircrafts from Airbus and yet again will be imported draining forex instead of being built here, India honestly should try incentivising them to set up a l here or source more stuff from India.

Bihar will suck till eternity
But states like UP and odisha will pull up as they are improving a lot right now if u see these states 5-6 years ago changes are huge
Infact up was behind odisha in few sectors but odisha had port access but still didn't perform well
But recently things are going well in these states
UP has a long way to go.The State is still a least developed region with very low HDI and a per capita income of less than $1000.It will take them at least 15 to 20 years before they reach any reasonable level.

Although Odisha has improved by leaps and bounds but now things are stagnating. No job creation is happening and no new industries are coming up.

As for Bihar,

And mind you this is the second time the Bridge has collapsed.

Chinkies literally did this with AirBus, and their new Made in China C919 passenger jet is basically a copy-paste of the famous Airbus model they produced in said assembly plant.

I am being told and even seen personally services sector is growing atleast in Bhubaneshwar and cuttack region
Many companies are opening new bpo, business solutions and etc in Bhubaneshwar especially in patia
Although that's a already established place but new offices are being opened
But on manufacturing field except steel and coal production no much development it seems
In next 5-6 years we could see few drastic changes
Maybe 🤞🤞🤞

They'll now have around 750 orders from India in this year alone
We are the 4th largest country by air-travel passengers, obviously not on the level of CHINA but this number will grow as our prosperity increases.

Better sarkar throw our weight around as leverage and get either of the big 2 to have an assembly plant here + source from local players, we already have a nascent private sector Aerospace industry.

This thing I have been stressing with @FalconSlayers from Jan
Many members were defending govt and I even understand their point
But there has to be a beginning
See today China has C919 due to the supply chain and experience of Tianjin Airbus plant

My understanding is both Airbus and Boeing (and their governments) have absolutely declined to even discuss manufacturing in India like they do in China. There seems to be a collusion between the only two players in the world. And India badly needs airplanes in order to make the next level of progress in economy and lfestyle.

In an ironic twist, the Chinese entering as a third player in the commercial avionics industry might help break the monopoly. Good or bad.

UP should be over $1000 right now. It also has a TFR of 2.4 so its population growth rate isn't that bad. At least in UP you can build some infrastructure and factories. There are also some private sector jobs in western UP while in Bihar there are only government job.
Bihar with its per capital GDP of $700 and TFR of over 3 is much worse. Bringing down the TFR of Bihar should be a major goal of any government. Bihar will be a major problem for the foreseeable future but at least if we can stop the Bihar population from growing too quickly we can somewhat minimize the problem. The regional caste based parties in Bihar are the worst in the country. All they care about is staying in power to funnel tax payers money from Mumbai and Bangalore (since Bihar has negligible tax base of its own) to themselves and their caste group.
