So corrected projection from IMF point to 4.7 trillion usd economy by 2025. And 5.1 trillion by 2026. This despite two years disruption by pandemic and slowing global growth.
Need to maintain double digit nominal growth for the next 15 years. It should be enough to create a sizeable middle class and meet most (if not all) of our SdGs. Doable provided there is stability across the union govt; despite slow global growth and all.

Damn, that’s a proper corporate complex, was thinking they leased a few lakh sq ft office soace in some commercial office building.

We’ll be rebasing our GDP in 2025, which will make it around $5.2 trillion.

The 1.7 million sq. ft Gurugram centre will house an Ikea store, other retail outlets for global and local brands, edutainment activities, a food park, and 320,000-sq ft commercial office space, spread over nine floors, the company said. The Ikea store will be spread across 250,000 sq ft and offer more than 9,000 home furnishing products. The company is targeting an annual footfall of 20 million at the Gurugram store.
The Noida centre, however, will take some time to develop, the company said, without giving a timeframe.

So are we ever going to take part in PISA again? The last time we took part in that, we ranked second worst in the world and in true pajeet fashion, the UPA governemnt made some bs excuse and pulled the country out of the tests. The latest AISER survey shows India's primitive education system has gotten even worse thanks to the lockdown. Modi has completely failed on the education front. Almost nothing has been done to improve the overall infrastructure of government schools across the country

Meanwhile on the healthcare front, changes are much more visible. Lots of 500 bed medical colleges going up in every other district. Not sure what the quality of infrastructure and facilities will be, but for a start, they are better than nothing. The next target should be to ensure at least 1 1000 bed hospital in each district, especially those with populations > 10 lakhs

Lot needs to be done on curriculum but Indian politics is on sub human level to enable any meaningful reforms.
Even an update would be a welcome change to accomodate for how much the world has changed.

education is in concurrent list, centre takes care of it's own school system, and states take care of their own, and muncipal corporations take care of their own.

Something has to change then. The current way is spectacularly failing on all fronts
