frankly still trying to understand your point of view, not opposing for the sake of opposing.

BJP wallahs seems to have built into the act this provision in 2000 itself, point 5 .

in 2018-19, FM increased the scope of road cess to road and infrastructure cess
in 2019 - Har Ghar jal mission launched
in 2022-23, paying from that fund , as per the provisions made in year 2000.

news papers have reported this, without getting into technicalities. for those who are interested in technicalities, info is there to be found. just like i found these things while we are having this conversation.
======
The Central Road and Infrastructure Fund Act, 2000

This was protested by most sections. Those set to profit from it welcomed it in letter and spirit.

So u r saying thst we are building roads since last 24 years and continuing....for every village.... Never knew India is so big... These small projects got finished long time back.... PMGSY is great but. It's done and dusted...
Roads under PMGSY are still being constructed as initial road was not paved roads. These roads are divided in many categories and these categories get upgraded with the time and with every next category quality of road improve.

Ya'll Nibbiars The problem is that half of the money gets gulped and this makes roads of sub par quality and rebuilding it aging and again and that how road taxes would never be sufficient. Well in Maharashtra is less of a probelsm now. The MMSY was a good project for state and ZP roads. Well can't say about other states.

This is a nice way to send money down the drain year on year...

Ultimately contractors need to earn..

Sorry, you misunderstood.

PMGSY is a long process as it involves building, upgrading and maintaining the roads.

For example, suppose a perticular area where a town is connected to group of villages by a road. So Main road will be paved one (Town to Village) while road between the villages would be non paved. Now in next phase, Main road will be upgraded and road between the villages will be paved. Then roads will be transferred to PWD.

Central government schemes are suffering very less from corruption than State Government. For example:- PM awas yojna and Har ghar toilet have 100% penetration with almost 0% corruption, same will be Har ghar nal har ghar jal... Whereas State Governments money is a total waste in every field.

Ya'll Nibbiars The start start Ups in India by the Cities. The most accurate list unlike others.

1 . Bengaluru 33.

2 . Mumbai 19.

3 . Delhi 18.

4 . Pune 3.

5 . Chennai 2.

6 . Jaipur 2.

7 . Kochi 1.

And there are only 79 current Unicorns in India. And Five lost Valuations and 16 left India.

The Rise of Zombie Start Ups.

The valuation of many start Ups have led to Zombies start ups which are neither could support the Valuations or the funds raised and unable to generate significant profits or turnovers. And They aimed to ride a boom in India's tech startups, which raised a record 35 billion dollars in new funds in 2021, but the tide has since turned, as corporate governance concerns loom large for investors facing a new uncertainty in global markets. And It is going to be brutals. And expect to see a lot of zombie unicorns.

The Firms which became unicorns but have no business models have stopped hiring they are not dying, but will become irrelevant. And lot of Bengaluru and NCR based irreverent firms will be rendered useless. Well Mumbai will be a one off Lucky case as most of the Unicorns based there are showing positive signs in their books. The other cities will survive the Zombie Start ups Unicorns onslaught.

The Plummeting Indian tech stocks are a worry, but investors spooked by fears over corporate governance are stepping up scrutiny during due diligence efforts, which delays funding rounds. And there are concerns that valuations in India are already too high, even when startups business models are being led by discounts and there is a bleak outlook for revenue. That could slam the brakes on the unprecedented growth and dull the lure of Indian startups.

The Indian startups raised 5.8 billion dollars in March and April, down about 15 percents from the corresponding period last year's. And more than 60,000 Jobs at the start ups are at 4iak at losing jobs or pays.

Okie so here is what i know..

PMGSY roads were build & tarred ( Paved) at same time under same year. Thats the good part. Bad part is that contract for maintenance of these roads is majorly with relatives cum contractors of local MLA... they pave them each year on paper but reality is different.... typically when these gets paved after 5 or 6 years only when soil becomes loose and people starts talking... in between they might do a patch work here or there but thats about it...

corruption is omni present in every where... there is nothing like 0 % corruption...

I can say from my experiences as I belong to a remote village.

There were roads which paved years ago and few are yet to be paved. I have witnessed a process. None of road paved on the same year until road is primarily connecting to town.

We have 100% implementations of Pradhan mantri awas Yojana and toilets without any commission or corruption because there is strict scrutiny from Patwari, Bank, and SDM. Progress Report directly uploaded on national portal. Few people even jailed who took money but didn't build toilets.

Work done by panchayat/local body/State are full of corruption and worse in quality.
