Good opposition? Lol. They do not have an opposition at all!
And more importantly, neither a layman nor an investor (both domestic and international) gives a flying eff about GDP numbers; they both follow their own estimates. GDP is merely an indicator of overall quality of life (just like HDI). Chinks are powerful because they have a large enough market that lures investors in; in effect, nations kiss their ass so that their companies are let in. Therefore it increases their geopolitical influence further and most importantly economic growth enables a higher quality of living. What geopolitical importance does BD have? Since their consumption numbers are similar to pakis it is unlikely that the quality of living for an average Bdeshi has improved much either. In essence, their doctored data only boosts the ego of Hasina and a bunch of trolls as well as Gloomberg idiots. Beyond that, it serves no purpose whatsoever. @India Super Power

This is some real serious problem right there :scared2:

By 2025, India will have:
1. 37,000 tech Startups, and
2. 180-200 Unicorns with a cumulative valuation of $600-700 billion

NASSCOM-Zinnov report.

After the success of sacred games they took all the wrong learnings from what made it actually popular and doubled down on the controversial elements
Netflix had their strategy wrong from the get go. It is as if they never really wanted to conquer the Indian market. Sacred Games was also a disgusting fiction that Pseudo Liberals want everyone to believe which is Hindus are main reason for destruction around the world. May be a well written and well directed show but still it is what it is (A pseudo liberal propaganda)

Reasons for time overruns as reported by various project implementing agencies include delay in land acquisition, delay in obtaining forest and environment clearances, and lack of infrastructure support and linkages.

Delay in tie-up for project financing, delay in finalisation of detailed engineering, change in scope, delay in tendering, ordering and equipment supply, and law and order problems are among the other reasons.

The report also cited state-wise lockdowns due to COVID-19 as a reason for the delay in implementation of these projects.

It has also been observed that project agencies are not reporting revised cost estimates and commissioning schedules for many projects, which suggests that time/cost overrun figures are under-reported, it added.
Reminds of an article quoting Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar in which he has emphasized on the need to put monetary quantification for the litigation related delays especially on environmental grounds. As expected, he was hounded by the 'ecosystem' for this.

Bdeshis reach as far as Bangalore for things like dental care.In coorg they are the cheapest possible labour in plantations undercutting even the poorest of lndian labour.. Hardly an indication of a superior economy even on a per capita basis.
We are a mixed economy and huge population we have a lot of sectors to take care of whilst chaddistitchers only has to fix and import chaddis with more holes.

How’s this related to this thread?
Not related but he makes a good point.

A new capital will spur huge infrastructure development along with employment and finally give us the opportunity to create a clean green City based on dharmic architecture.

It will also help us showcase our real roots to the world.

Our current capital is nothing but a junkyard filled with smog and pollutants filled with retarded people.

Banaras and Ujjain are more ancient than Patliputra or Bodhgaya. Either one is a better alternative for an ancient capital of Bharat varsh
Indeed , ujjain seems to be best
Capital of maharaj vikramaditya or chandragupta the second of the gupta dynasty and not chandragupta maurya

Shifting the capital will take a lot of work and seeing how our bureaucracy works it will likely fail and in the process we would have wasted billions of dollars

To illustrate my earlier comment, remember when India took part in the PISA test many years back? We finished 2nd last. Instead of admitting that our education system is in shambles and no here near as good as others, we dropped out of future PISA tests like sore losers, claiming “out of context” questions caused our poor results. When our ministers/govt is unable to digest facts and would rather play around with figures instead of admitting things are wrong, dont expect any big changes or improvements to happen. I thin the government finally admitted to the idiocy and we will participate in the next one

That's one side of the story, is there a report which tells students/or those who were involved at that time, side of the story?

Of all the things the Ministry needs to sort out they choose to better their rank in a random index; pathetic. Talk about priorities!

India has participated in the PISA test in 2009. Students from Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu sat for the test.
Sadly India secured 2nd last position and the UPA government at that time conveniently blamed on vague things like out of context syllabus and language barrier.

But to anyone who has gone through Indian schooling system, this will not come as a surprise.
There were reports which says that many Indian mid school children cannot even do even basic maths or read or write properly.

In villages, things are even more horrific as let alone students, even teachers do not have any basic fundamental knowledge. And the condition of Indian engineering graduates or any general graduates is known to all.

And this is why we as a country must primarily stress on basics as you cannot build a world beating economy with such pathetic education system.

It's depressing to see that on one end we have such a wonderful tertiary industry that churns out world class software professionals and on the other end we have the vast majority that is still in medieval age.

Yes that's what the news reports are saying, but these are second hand information.

was looking for first hand accounts on what exactly went wrong, things like how many students took the test, what were individual scores etc. even the data files in PISA website don't seem to have India data for 2009 test.

I think rural india struggles with a lack of teachers mainly if you look at our syllabus when compared to other countries you can say that Indian kids are taught more difficult stuff earlier mainly in maths we desperately need more teachers and less students ie less students in a class so that the teachers can manage them well instead of having a lot of children in one class

Well it looks like some students from chandigarh sat on the 2021 test "since then, India has strayed away from the test until now, for students from Chandigarh will be sitting for the test in 2021. Approximately 1.75 lakh students from government schools in Chandigarh, along with 600 Navodaya Vidyalayas and 3,000 Kendra Vidyalayas will take the three-hour long PISA test in 2021. " Anyone can find the results?
welp looks like it got postponed to 2022
