The Maharashtra government Wednesday signed 12 Memorandum of Understanding MOUs worth Rs 5,051 crore, which will lead to generation of 9,000 jobs.
The MOUs were signed during the 8th edition of the ongoing Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0. In the past two years of Magnetic Maharashtra, the government has attracted investments worth Rs 1.88 lakh crore and has signed 96 MOUs in this period. This has led to creation of a platform for more than 3.34 lakh jobs. The signing of the MOUs comes days after the recent Dubai Expo, where Maharashtra had inked 26 MOUs reigning in investment of more than 15,000 crores, which can potentially create 10,000 jobs. It is to be noted that Maharashtra government attracted one of the largest share of FDI between 2020 to 2021, and contributes about 15 per cent of India’s industrial output.
