Brain Drain from Australia to US is different from India to US.In Australia they can be easily replenished by migrants from other countries. You will not find a rich talent even from Somalia thinking of migrating to India.

High IQ and talented people are a minuscule minority of naturally gifted people.Retaining them is critical for national growth. This is because your average folk cannot develop the intuition or the critical thinking skills required for many applications.

Just imagine what would have happened had Vikram Sarabhai,APJ Abdul Kalam and Satish Dhawan had left for America instead of staying in India. Our Space program would largely have been non existent or far less prominent.

Years ago one of my senior developed an AI enabled machine which increased the productivity by 25%.
Unfortunately neither the company nor the country could harness his talent and he is now working in a research firm in the US.
in the same vein imagine sundar pichai , Satya nadella and the other indian ceo's working in India as apposed to the us

Why is bill.gates hated , I mean on this forum?
he along with his rich friends got together and decided that democratically elected governments do not know what's good for the world, and him and his friends know what's best for the people of the world.

if it was a positive agenda there wouldn't have been a problem, but then some of his friends started undermining elected govts, censoring free speech, fund riots, fund activism that undermines india's national security. That's a problem.

These organisations have roots in genuine organic people's movements which later on gets co-opted by one or other agencies working on behest of larger powers.

BLM has its root in genuine concerns about police atrocities against American citizens where a large number of the victims are blacks. Mind that the victims range among all shades of skin colours. Yet blacks tend to hold the short end of the sticks more often. Now, there are some genuine reasons why blacks and latinos tend to be under more critical observation by the cops. But most communities fail to look under their own collars.

Anyhow, BLM got co-opted by George Soros and likes on behest of the DNC. It was rather easy as the leaders were greedy SOBs who were in the movement for gains rather than concern for their communities. The agencies had influence and money to buy the leaders and initiated a reign of chaos throughout USA. You have to understand that when BLM had began, nobody knew Corona was in offing to derail the US economy. BLM was to be the last ditch effort by DNC to defame Trump and dehumanise his supporters. So millions were poured into BLM where every leftist medium went overboard promoting BLM. Some dumbasses tried to do that even in India.

So BLM is an example. BLM, Antifa, Kisaan Andolan, Shaheenbaagh, Arab Springs, the Venezuelan civil disobedience, current Cuba unrest - everything is tool for eome or other agencies. Ford Foundation, Rockerfellar foundation, Gates foundation and many more are the fronts of one or other western power mongers. Open Society Foundation of Soros is the most openly recognised organisation that is widely accepted as a foundation ceated solely for purpose of sowing chaos in Nations around the world. So much so that it is banned in many nations.

Now, purely democractic nations are ill equipped to deal with these, as in democracy media wields huge influence and the first thing these agencies do is to buy up media as well social media influencers as much as they can. Coupled with the SM platforms themselves under their thumb, they tend to wield huge power in guiding public rage against incumbent Govts via the tools which are movements like BLM, Antifa etc.

However, they fail in nations where nationalism is more strong such as Russia, Hungary, Pollland etc. Everybody knows how Putin treats the stooges and so Russia barely if ever sees the influence of the cabals.

However, these powers must have been shocked when 2019 LS election result came in India. That is why they have started the ground running since CAA and the surprisingly dull response from presumably sardar Patel reincarnated Amit Shah must even have taken them by surprise!

Dark side of Bill Gates’ philanthropy: 30,000 Indian girls were used as guinea pigs to test cervical cancer vaccine

What philanthropy has to do with vaccines, we would wonder, especially if the philanthropist is Bill Gates. The world’s richest man decided to give away the massive wealth he had amassed by selling computers. It was a philanthropy that the world had not witnessed earlier. Mr Gates, with his wife Bellinda, built up the foundation that would dispense wealth to the poor: Africa, India and a host of other countries in need of ‘healthcare.’

Bill Gates, with his wife Melinda, built a foundation that would dispense wealth to the poor: Africa, India and a host of other countries in need of ‘healthcare.’

Why was Bill Gates funding India’s poor health sector? A partial but negative answer began to emerge in 2014, when the country’s Supreme Court raised questions about the operations of the foundation in some rural parts of India.

In 2009, tribal children from the Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh were administered with a Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine meant for cervical cancer. Around 16,000 girls between the age of 9-15 years were given three shots of vaccine, (manufactured by Merck) by the state health department. The girls were told that they were being given “well-being” shots. The incident started getting attention when some months later, several girls’ health deteriorated and the following year, five of them died. Two such similar cases of deaths were reported from Vadodara, Gujarat, where 14,000 tribal children were also vaccinated with the HPV vaccine Cervarix, made by Glaxo SmithKline.

Aman Dhawan, 16, from Indore lost weight and stamina after be was enrolled in a trial of vaccine, aimed at preventing cervical cancer. He had no idea he had been signed up for the trial.

Around the same time when these incidents were reported, young girls were hospitalised in northern Colombia with similar symptoms. Coincidentally, these girls had been given doses of vaccine too.

Skeletons started tumbling out when an NGO visited Andhra Pradesh. Health activists from the NGO Sama visited Khammam in March 2010 and found out that more than 100 girls were having epileptic seizures, stomach aches, headaches and mood swings. The girls also complained about early menstruation, heavy bleeding and menstrual cramps. Sama raised the issue that these students were made guinea pigs on the pretext of providing healthcare. The illiterate parents were kept in the dark about the real vaccine, and most of them gave their consent in the form of thumb prints.

Sana Ansari, 19, at her home in Indore. She was enrolled in a vaccine trial aimed at preventing cervical cancer.

The American NGO, Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) had carried out the studies. They were testing how the cervical cancer vaccine would react on young females. And this unethical test of Path was being funded by none other than the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Ironically, the study was considered a success by the foundation. The Bill Gates Foundation also aided PATH in the study of Rotavirus vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine in Africa and Asia.

A few days after the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared in 2009 that two HPV types cause 70% of cervical cancers, PATH started its five-year project across various parts of the world: Peru, Vietnam, Uganda, and India.

The lives of the poor have no value, especially if they are from the third world countries. The dark decisions of human testing are carried on without much fuss, and authorities prefer to look the other way when there are billions of dollars involved.

Re: US Seeks 'Clarification' on India's Crackdown on Ford Foundation,

According to Canadian researcher, Vivian Krause, up to $300 million have been pumped since 2000 into Canadian NGOs by major US foundations such as Ford, Rockefeller, Hewlett, Packard, and Gates among others - some of whom are also major donors in India.
The legitimate concern is that with their deep pockets, these large US based foundations - who can muster resources that dwarf those of any Canadian donor - can have a disproportionate impact on the state of the debate in Canada. In particular, the danger is of skewing the discourse in favour of the agenda of US-based environmental activists who themselves would not bear the brunt of any possible economic damage caused to Canada by pursuing an excessively stringent environmental policy.
The Canadian experience should give pause to assorted leftists, activists, journalists and commentators in India who heap scorn on the legitimate concerns raised about the potentially damaging effects foreign-funded NGOs could be having on the prospects for rapid economic development in India. And for those suspicious of the timing of this leaked IB report in the early days of the Modi-led government, recall that Manmohan Singh during the much publicised protests in 2012 against the Koodankulam nuclear reactor in Tamil Nadu gave exactly the same warning that foreign-funded NGOs could be having a detrimental effect on India's economic development. In recent years, an average per year of a massive Rs 10,000 crore or approximately $2 billion has flowed into Indian NGOs, according to data declared under India's Foreign Contributions Registration Act (FCRA). And this is probably an underestimate given that shockingly 40 per cent of the NGOs don't fulfil their compliance requirement under Indian law.

Brain drain is not false but also bit exaggerated. When skilled professionals leave the country especially at important positions their absence does create a temporary void. However because of sheer number of people we have in this country that void will always be filled. Unless we are expecting everyone to migrate out of country. Which isn't happening.

Now your experience with students. Students don't have much exposer to ground realities. If you ask any number of random people anywhere in India would they like to go to western country, 99% will say yes. The question is, can they? Going out of India requires lots of money that everyone doesn't have. It also requires lots of complications that most wouldn't bother with. Some may have family issues or other problems that prevent them from migrating. Even those who migrate out of country mos are not some high brains but rather economic migrants who are looking for more money and better life.
The current wait for an Employment based green card in the US is
151 years for EB2 and a little less than that for EB3. That is if you apply today and the Might and Powerful USCIS approves your labor petition right away (it actually takes a few years to get that labor approval).

This is for applicants from India. Add to that punitive rules for H1 visa holders (and indeed any visa holders), arbitrary visa issuance and rejection at US consulates, no clear rules - the power drunk clerk at the consulate is God.

And then of course all the other points that others have brought up.
