The gap between number of unicorns between USA and others is out of the world .. The reason i think USA continue to rise is because it keeps attracting talents from over the world .. Thats why white nationalism was a big threat their deep state wanted to get rid of .. The woke culture is strategic for them.. and its a curse for us .. If u see raddit there is a page called r india most of whose traffic is from usa and uk ... This thread mostly a india basing page and many thread i saw recent days saying why leave india .. People from humanity background in usa are their national assets ..
Like a small subreddit from india matters USA attracts talent because they have the most friendly laws for conducting bushiness and there is a lot of capital

They were leading nation even when they were almost a homogeneous population. They entered every age post industrial revolution with a lead which they sustained with various pretexts e.g., Cold War. If one has to argue their diversity first on migration from Europe then whole white race can be called European race.

The last IT age post Cold War was all conceptualised by European race. The so called diversity from Asian countries was first shared with the same know how before they started flocking to their shore to help with ordinary data sorting jobs.

As the algorithms become complex and data usage started covering more and more industries the digital labour jobs became readily available. Then they even started to out source the same.

Similar kind of situation is with R&D, developing computer languages and hardware technologies. The directions is still one way where they are sharing their knowledge when it becomes ready for industrial production.

So this intentional strategy to become a melting pot seems not that intentional but coincidental.

How much this diversity has benefitted them purely on leap forging them out off everyone’s league vis a vis military and industrial power is yet to be ascertained.

Why is there a term called American dream so famous not chinese dream , japanese dream or german dream .. If usa dominates the world in this century its because many talents around the world dream of going there .. There are friendly laws and capital in other countries too but there is a magnetic effect of this American dream promoted by hollywood and other platforms which are dominated by American companies .. There has been a trend how global media represents certain countries around the world . It may or may not be intentional but this is the reason USA ll stay relevant for a long time ..

Ya'll Nibbiars A large part of tot returns in stocks come in very short periods of time. I.e. they tend to move in spurts. This is why I do not try to time the market once I am convinced on an investment. I have added some technical analysis though to check that I am not buying in a downtrend.

In May 2021, the engineering goods share in total merchandise exports increased by 25.44%, as compared to an increase of 24.83% in April 2021 and 25.36% in March 2021. Between April and May, cumulative basis of growth stood at 25.23%.

EEPC India stated that in May 2021 shipments of engineering items registered an increase of 14.65%, as compared to May 2019, when economic movements were regular.

22 of the top 25 key markets for Indian engineering goods, registered positive growth. The US led the category with export shipments valued at US$ 1,022 million, an increase of 56%, followed by UAE registering an increase of 70% YoY. Between April and May, the European Union accounted for 21% of India’s total engineering exports, followed by North America at 16.8% and ASEAN market at 15.7%.

Hope All his donations were domestic but don’t you think that even if he donated so much, how much help did it do the average poor?

Is there a PLI scheme for semiconductors?
Govt is willing to give 1 billion USD in cash for companies to establish wafer fab in India.

However to make a low node fab (3-5-7 nm), you need 10-15 billion USD investment. But India may start with analog fabs which is 180 nm.

I don’t want India to go to that 7nm and all that, most demand is of lower ones used in appliances, automobile, some in mobiles, those 7nm 5nm are least in demand as they are used in high end smartphones.

if companies both domestic and foreign can rely on homegrown suppliers for semiconductors it would be great

Poor can never be helped by giving out money, u may solve their temporary issue but that won't elevate them from poverty.

If Ambani donates all his wealth he won't be able to feed the entire country for 10 days

Yes, plus there is nothing below 3 nm practically.

1nm means 5 silicon atoms. As diameter of silicon atom is 0.2 nm. 1 nm is not feasible. It is called as "end of Moore's law"

With TSMC already on top of 3-4 nm technology, it will be a risky and not a profitable investment to go into such a lower node.

Future of electronics lies more into compound semiconductors, which India can target. Those fabs are cheaper to make.

Although lower nodes are only used in mobiles and laptops, their market is much bigger than appliance or analog market used in automobile.

But in any case, it will be very hard to compete with TSMC on 3-5 nm.
