Can anyone tell that what would be nominal gdp of india by 2024?
If currently it's 3.15 trillion dollar?
Depends upon how fast is recovery.
If 10 % real GDP recovery is achieved this year then in nominal terms it should be 15 % approx growth.
15 % of 3.15 is 472 billion dollars . So gdp should be 3.6 trillion next year. Then growth should normalise to slower usual track 6-7 % real (10-12 %) nominal which means another trillion dollars in next 2 years.

So apporx 5 trillion by 2025 is still manageable given fast recovery some appreciation in rupee and decent 4-5% inflation should be there.

No no no , bongol don't need roads , here wonmmen can roam around at night , if she is tmc supporter and ok with any teasing by Bangladeshi terror pigs
Will Mamta Banarjee allow expressways or dedicated freight corridors to pass through Bengal
I am asking this Because Bay of Bengal is very important for trade between India and South East Asia and making expressways requires land acquisition which is very time taking and controversial
she may try to create controversy for political point scoring
Thank god there is a waterway to Kolkata and Haldia port which doesn’t require land acquisition and is cost efficient too

Why they are moving to ASEAN.
1. West understand that they cannot put all eggs in same basket like they did with PRC.
2. Logistic in India is horrendous port clearance lead time etc
3. Work ethics not great. Especially with that union socialist crap
4. Setting production site in India and giving it's economy boost in arm not useful for any world power.
Main reason is still a lack of infrastructure which keeps production costs high. If you want price sensitive items to be mass produced in India, the cost of manufacTuring per unit has to be very low. That is what China achieved.
The problem we have is several big infrastructure projects are running beyond deadline. EDFC and WDFC originally were slated for completion by 2020. But the thing is still lagging on and on. Bharatmala despite increased speed is still lagging as the whole road network is not available. Even if we have 6 lane expressways built in remote areas the areas where we connect to major cities and industrial areas are all stuck due to land issues, politics etc. So, the end to end road - from a port into a congested urban area, is never available for transport for a long time.
then cities like Mumbai and Kolkata are a total let down. Despite having an early advantage, both of them have now become so poor and backward. Bengaluru area is the only city that ranks anywhere decently in the innovation index at 60th rank. All of China’s big city clusters are in top 10 in the world. Mumbai is ranked like 99 and Kolkata and other cities are not even on the top 100 in the list. Such is the pathetic state of our urban areas.
Urban areas are the engines of growth. We constantly underinvest in urban areas and then wonder why our growth is not like China’s.
We must identify 4 to 5 cities and make them world class with top class infrastructure for everything from living to health to education to R&D to urban transport. These cities need to be able to get jobs that can get people to an average $30000 per capita income. Plus there should be no political interference in businesses whatsoever. That is when high class talent will work in such cities and innovate.
China did this. Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xian, Wuhan - all have been developed really well. The per capita income in top 5 of this list is already at $30000, with central business district per capita at $60000. That means there are sizable number of $60000 jobs.
Meanwhile our cities are languishing with broken infrastructure, heavy politics, “india lives in its villages” stupidity, not respecting innovators and wealth creators, pathetic salary for science and research jobs, massive urban slum population holding everyone back etc.
Look at what our stupid politicians did to Adar Poonawalla - drove him out of the country. Now they are looking to setup manufacturing overseas. 🤦 These are job creators and wealth creators. With such disrespect, people will always have this fear that the stupid socialists will burn this country and be reluctant to freely work and innovate in India.
Playing extreme socialist and poverty politics never works.

If Modi wants to survive he must go all economy.
And berserk on anti-national elements
Modi has better strategy. He is not falling for mindless sensationalism which he know won't last beyond few months.

His solid vote winning formula is
Home for everyone reaching almost completion by 2022. I have seen entire jhuggi belt transformed into concrete houses thanks to modi.

Water by pipe at every house which is massive game changer in rural and backward areas saving families time and effort. Urban media can't even comprehend the significance of this which is a master stroke.

All around infrastructure development which is strengthening manufacturing and construction.

Aayushman bharat which is paying for 40% of indian population health expenese now..

Kisan nidhi Direct money to farmers.

Mudra loan for youth to start new things constantly.

These grand strokes will bring him back to power securely. That is the pulse of India.

If so much of things he did, why our economic growth slowed down?

Because of lockdown in pandemic!!

Our economic growth is doing fine. Before pandemic is was global trade war which slowed us down a bit. But we are doing fine. We just need to keep growing at 6-7 %. In real terms that's all required and that's easily manageble .

These are social upliftment thung ,not necessarily economical things , economy fell due to trade war , global investor choice , somewhat internal security , and caution , remember when covid was started in December 2019 in china and first cases in other countries were observed , i saw lot of families cutting expenses and saving for upcoming danger .

Also the momentum of election affect economy , people thought if congress would return , policies would be different so lack of confidence in industry

I have no hopes on economic front, Modi said a jumla 4th industrial revolution will be led by many countries and one of them would be India, no progress in such things can happen when you haven’t exploited 3rd industrial revolution yet.

Economy destroyed. Because you cant say when this coronavirus dance will over. I thnk we need to sustain 3T, this will be a big achievement.
The 5 trillion target was pre covid. In any case, I fail to understand the rejoice about us failing. Crazy people who find pleasure when their own economy fails.
Pm modi at least have a vision. Achieving it is a collective task. No magical wander at his disposal

People who write "Economy destroyed" so casually should make a trip to Venezuela or Zimbabwe after the pandemic is over. Only then they will understand what true economic destruction looks like.

Indian economy simply cannot be destroyed without any large scale invasion. Indians need to drill this in their head and keep working.

They discount ingenuity of Indian and the resolve of the country to overcome any situation.
This country overcame many problems in the past. Green revolution, 1991 forex crisis, insurgency, wars, colonial plundering. What not India has endured.
The demoralising of the nation is going on unabated.

The best bet is special economic zones look at Shenzhen the whole city was basically built from scratch in the last 30 years and was given a special economic zone status and look where is it now , rebuilding our cities now will take massive political will which will never happen just look at the metro shed issue and to do upgrades we basically need to shut the whole city down even as something as simple as the metro construction in Mumbai has led to traffic jams all over the place narrower roads and rise in pollution due to the dust .
