One of my cousin was going to construct a small micro Solar plant of 10 MW. That would had costed around 15 crores. The purchasing per wat rate was 2.5 rupees. But then the Electricity board would had purchased the electricity at loss. But my cousin stopped this project as the local electricity board was not purchasing the costly electricity due to the fluctuating subsidies. There are problems in pricing when a coal thermal plant can produce electricity at just 50 paisa. Then why would they pruchase such costly electricity. The nuclear plant can produce the electricity at just 25 paise.
yes not a good idea for small players. Only existing solar parks are a better investment. there too there are payment problems.

We should have high tech industries Index in stock market to support this kind of firms.

Nope, i think small scale power generation is not a good idea, especially if you are selling it to DISCOMS in india. There was a time when WB & IMF types were selling this idea as a good business proposition, That's probably where your relative got the idea from, now this has been accepted as a failed concept.

even i was planning to getting into it some time back, thank fully didn't.

Now he gone into other businees of supplying high pressure pipes. It was a communist idea on the scale in which mao sold that every house hold should have a iron plant in the backyard.

Sometimes we have to remember that some of the business ideas which we think are local, as actually created/promoted by banks/companies outside of the country.

Aur kyun World bank, IMF. Apne ishare par nachane wale. They provide almost zero interest loan to countries like bangla and for us charges hefty interest. Only the ADB has helped us. The AIIB was important for us to make a presence.

Excerpt from an BD oped...

and BD's trade deficit is about 9 billion $ in favour of india and 12 billion $ in favour of china.
Total trade deficit about 22 billion $.

Remittance from India to Bangladesh - 4 billion $
Remittance from Bangladesh to India - less than 200 million $

======
If we look at the number of Bangladeshi patients seeking medical treatment in India, it will be clear how much India earns from us.

I don’t have any current data, but I can cite a report released by the Indian government in 2017. The report said, one in three foreign patients in India was from Bangladesh. Of the 460,000 inbound patients in Indian hospitals, more than 165,000 were from Bangladesh. Bangladeshis had bought over $343 million worth of services.

There’s more.

One report says that 60% of the buyers in West Bengal are from Bangladesh. Did you notice that West Bengal -- especially Kolkata -- markets during the last two Eids when the Covid-time travel restrictions were on? Their markets looked deserted.

Here in Bangladesh, the markets are normally flooded with Indian apparel during our Eids. Despite that fact, thousands of Bangladeshis still prefer to go to India for Eid shopping.

In 2017, an estimated 150,000 shoppers went to India. If the shoppers had bought goods worth at least $1,000 each, they would have ended up spending $1,170 crore. But many spend way more than that.

We are a market for many other Indian goods and products. The country earns enormously from selling these goods and products to 165 million Bangladeshis.

You do realise that a society can have more than one type of aspirations and expectations.

Inspite of me being a socialist, I do believe in free market economy for India at the same time support PSUs in a few strategic sectors. This is my personal well thought out position I have arrived at after almost four years of thinking. Not because somebody told me to. in those four years i never imposed by half baked thoughts on this topic on others.

Similarly it just so happens that here at DFI, most of the members prefer free market economy.

If you want to share knowledge please do, but without trolling.
It's like people can't help but criticize drdo and isro too when they criticize ofb.also some people can't fathom support for a combination of public and private sector operation in market.

It's wierd it like some people have substituted their god for public sector or private sector businesses and when either sector gets hurt they feel personally hurt as if their family, group or individual self has been hurt.

I mean unless your bussiness is directly affected,it is pathetic and sad for a person to identify with a nebulous and diverse group such as public or private sectors of a country.if these people had such level of concern for the Indeginous community of India,it would have been a lot better.

i’d say there is nothing wrong with people being invested in a particular topic. But over a period of time, opinions have to evolve based on new information picked up during the course of time.

it’s called bagass, you will find them in villages. People have been using them for more than two decades in India. you can connect it directly to your Lpg cooking stove.

I think there are certain schemes funded by government where construction of the plant is partly funded by government.
yes they apply here In Bihar as well, 40% subsidy for fish farm, 25% for mushroom, 15% for buying tractors, seeders, tillers. Funds get released every year but most people don't use it as their is no information broadcast.
Result? Funds get eaten up by IAS, IES, Mantri, Dealer, DM, Co, Surplus is returned back.

I know about it. My friend in college had one in their home in village. They had five cows and ox ,and the bio gas was enough to meet their LPG requirement for about 8 months for a family of 4 ppl. But when I go to villages around my home town I never saw one.
