This is just Bhavish being Bhavish! He finds ways to create controversies around his companies.

Basically, he is trying to emulate Musk in India. However, he lacks the talent pool and the scale which Musk and Testa/SpaceX has in US.

Bhavish bought an Amsterdam based company and repacked the product as Ola S1 series in India and now he has repackaged a UI around GPT3.5. Nothing illegal but he is not upfront about these things and claims that everything is done completely in-house in India.
Why should he be upfront if the investors prefer that he hype things up or position for benefits under PLI/MII? Businesses always lie - everywhere including in the US. If you look at cor frauds in the US including by platinum Rated companies, you will know that Bhavish’s hypes are small.

Everyday there is new data centre. who are using these indian data centres?

Take a look any IT, startup company in india (from small to big), ALL of them use AWS, Azure, GCP other US companies. govt has their own data centres.

============
:
Most of the data centres in USA are in low cost places like Utah and Arizona, not in Costly places New York or California but the scene is reverse in India. I smell real estate, black to white money scam.

Utah and Arizona have low cost power supply and the best climate to keep data centers operating at the lowest possible cost. Indian cities are the only ones that have reliable power supply and DC SEZ infrastructure. This is not the case in developed nations where almost all parts of their countries have highly developed infrastructure. Plus land is very cheap just outside of metro areas in India. Plus cities are where most of the computing is needed as Urban India is still very under digitized. So it makes sense for India. We cannot compare India to upper income nations. India PCI is still very low at below $3000 with even cities considerably poorer than their Asian counterparts.

Imagine how much better off India would be if Bihar had followed Odisha. Our per capita GDP would be higher, especially when you consider the lower population growth due to Bihar being closer to the average national fertility rate.

Those social justice types that support the RJD and Jungle Raj need to understand what kind of damage they cause. For smaller states it can be ignored but we can't afford that kind of politics in large states with high population.

Bengal, UP and Bihar were killed just to fulfill fantasies of Social Justice and Communist revolution to destroy the communalism and backwardness of native culture to make them par with European Enlightenments.

India would have been better without them.

The thing is that if he does not live up to the hype he created, then the downfall will be so rapid that he won't be able to save his business.BYJUS was also doing a very similar thing, spending most of their money and resources on hyping up instead of building quality product.

Many Amreeka startups do the same thing. They hugely hype things up. Then there are outright frauds. See how Silicon Valley Bank went bust. VCs just want to get their money back through an IPO. They don’t care about ethics.

Well…UP is slowly getting out of this socialist nonsense. Even Bihar may get out of it. But Bengal is gone. Kolkata has been reduced to a tier 2 city and call center scam capital of the world.
