for fellows who are from Maharashtra and locals of Mumbai may find it decent buy traveling in monsoon is soul crushing there.
@Haldilal you bought a house in a posh locality but tell me was it possible without your parents savings?

1 to 2 cr for a 2bhk and that too you have to shelve out thousand more for unionized househelp services.
I cannot imagine buying a house in Mumbai even with my salary. It's not for those who want to build form scratch.
Ya'll Nibbiars Which House?. My salary is 1/10th of your salary. Don't give me a heart attack, It's trust apartment which will remains in the trustee name forever, Have not paid the Maintenance since the Society formation. I don't have my house in Mumbai nor I will at this rate. With my current Salary I can't even survive in Patna. leave thought of even purchasing at your city.

Don't Confuse Relatives house as mine.

Most of People buying Houses in Mumbai have salary of much less than your still able to buy, you don't purchases houses annually once in a life time.

Mumbai is the only city that is undergoing some serious big scale redevelopment. By saying that the infra is crumbling is ignorance. Govt does not have shakalaka boom boom pencil that they'll draw the infra and it will pop out in 1 sec. Time lagta hai bhai. MH does not get special treatment from PMO that some states get.
Those who run MH also happen to be lazy and complacent not willing to go the extra mile to attract business, content with Mumbai's moneys, this includes Fadnavis also.
GJ, TN, KT and even Telangana now do, and they get the results :troll:

Fadnavis had a nice 5 year term where he served as CM without any interruptions, he isn't corrupt like your average CM and is not from a corrupt party either that prioritizes vasooli over everything else, he is a "best case scenario" for MH in contrast to the (((alternatives))).

Yet.

In 2015 They had an MoU with Foxconn to invest $5 billion in a plant somewhere around JNPT

Fadnavis either sat on it, imposed too onerous T&C or didn't pursue them hard enough

And lo, in 2020 they said NO when MVA govt came in power

By contrast Foxconn either has or is going to have plants in TN, KT and Telangana, I think there's one even in AP but not sure.

When you get a good project like that refinery in Ratnagiri, Penguins and Pawarful politicians get mobs to protest just because they don't get to eat a share of the bribes.

Penguins stopped land acquisition for the bullet train project

Penguins even when BJP ally tried to sabotage that one train card shed to be built in Aarey over muh "environmentalism"

You know why GJ gets all the "important" investments? like that C295 transport jet factory, or the new Micron OSAT plant?
Because everything is under control there of BJP, no mobs of villagers to protest for bogus reason, no harami HC judges that will entertain the cases filed by "activists", no stoppage of any construction or operation of factories in GJ everything goes on smoothly.

The same is the case in TN, which is why businesses invest over there, DMK is still in power there even when they aren't :troll:

Anyway continue to repeat Penguin narratives from a set of parties that have failed so hard in MH that all they have left is Gujjew vs Marathi narratives :truestory:

Mark my words even if MVA comes back nothing will change because everyone sits pretty with FINANCIAL CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY, RICHEST MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, RICHER THAN THE NEXT 9 LARGEST COMBINED etc.

You may read about those tribal states with large mineral deposits having the "natural resource curse", In MH's case it is Mumbai and Pune to a smaller extent that are the "resource curse" the resource being money ofc :troll:.

Infact in TN the contribution of both dmk and aiadmk is very prominent in their economic development
More that that I would think the current state of TN is basically due to Jaya and Mgr
Yes many might disagree as I have experienced but still their vision was very prominent wrt industries
Infact the investments now Stalin enjoying is due to the policies of eps, even the electronics boom is due the policies of eps and his dialogues with the industry people
Infact the recent electronics or it policy I don't remember which was introduced by Stalin is nothing but the same with few changes wrt what eps announced

Won't comment on MH Ministers but Foxconn has a tradition of making bogus commitments. Even Trump was scammed by them, hehe.

About GJ, you are right. I remember reading articles on The Economist (they went batshit crazy post 2014; before that used to be more nuanced) where their columnist wrote, "So many things go right in Gujarat that it does not 'feel' like India."

Exactly. That micron plant in Gujarat was formally singed and in literally 1 week, the land was parceled off and pre construction works such as site clearance and soil testing began. I will bet all the money I have that this pace will not be attained in MH.

1 good thing about the AC market is that Indian manufacturing companies have at least a 50% overall market share, and the biggest ones like Voltas, Havells and blue star are all expanding and investing in component level manufacturing.

No leapfrogging in sight
Indian economy’s size is about that of China in 2007. But without a spur to manufacturing, India will be hard pressed to follow China’s growth trajectory
Goods exports of India are really depressing, and so is the GFCF which should be around 40% but is barely 30%.

Last year it was at just 29%, while china has had consistent 40% GFCF.

Why paint goa or kerala alone? Because it is Goa and Kerala issue.

You have pasted snapshot of the costliest of the costliest flight. However, is the regular flight also priced above 90K?????

Do you have to pay 4-5K in cab price for moving from Airport in HP/UK/UP to your hotel just 10-12km far??
I was just showing that there are no set rules to fleecing ... i don, t see how a regular auto Walla taking u for a ride in NCR is different from the goa / kerala folk... No one plays by rules....As for HP / UK / UP goes, you don't get fleeced for 4-5 k but you do get fleeced for half of that. How does it matter..it,s all demand driven..There are no holy cows

Seems too good to be true. Hard to believe if it happens given they never had any line outside US and the backlash politically and from labor unions.

Similar reports were all across the media pre chinese virus saga. Boeing ultimately backtracked citing low projected demand post covid.
