As good as that sounds it’s only market cap, banks true strength is measured through assets. What’s the value of their assets??

Poeple talk about how Indian unis are not up to mark while completely failing to mention how Indian youth are the dumbest and amongst the most illiterate in the world

Modi government has done nothing to improve the dismal state of education at the primary and secondary level. These trends are quite consistent across multiple studies like PISA, AISER, achievement survey etc. Indian kids are simply unable to do basic mathematics or inference questions compared to others. Even though some of these studies are not consistent, there is enough evidence to prove the point

Only 12.3 per cent of India’s lower secondary school students (aged 10–16) are proficient in basic mathematics, according to the Unesco’s SDG 4 report, which was released on January 24.

Education is a state subject.

Not Entirely true. It all depends on how much u are ready to get fleeced & is standard across sector ...

In HP or UK or Leh or UP any Other state . It is similar depending on season & demand. Why paint goa or kerala alone ..same for hotels.. shady hotels go for 5k when it snow falls... they make their years earning in 3 months and rest all is bonus...

I was looking at flight to Kolkatta and one particular flight from goa was being quoted at 92 K..

Why paint goa or kerala alone? Because it is Goa and Kerala issue.

You have pasted snapshot of the costliest of the costliest flight. However, is the regular flight also priced above 90K?????

Do you have to pay 4-5K in cab price for moving from Airport in HP/UK/UP to your hotel just 10-12km far??

Business class or ?

Top 5 flight recommendations from Kol to Goa for 5th Jul on MMT are less than INR 7k. Add sundry other charges, reduce coupon/card discounts and you might settle it for 9k.

Anyways, given prevailing flight rates, it makes more sense to travel to SE Asia for a better experience.

Goa has lost its old charm anyway. Getting too industrialized and concretised for my liking.

Hope they don't do the same to Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Local Food is getting destroyed everywhere.

10yr back you could get authentical tasty and very cheap Goan food. Now everywhere, North Indian restaurants, Jain pure veg food and regular non-veg food and that too very costly now.

Traveled frequently to Goa between 2014 and my last trip was in 2018.

I preferred South Goa and the metamorphosis between those four years was enough for me to look for other places.

North Goa, Baga etc are like friggin Kumbh ka Mela with open soliciting by the beach if you happen to walk alone at night away from friends.

Goa has become dusty, polluted and a rapidly depleting green cover. Sad sight to watch. All realty sharks busy grabbing land... the place is literally on a fire sale by local municipalities.

One of the biggest cons was pulled when they declared bamboo as grass and hence it did not qualify as forest.

These things are bound to happen with commercialization of popular tourist place. Most countries focus on cleanliness of their major spots.
However, in India, we feel prouder on making mess of any place, littering and spitting here and there.

Best destination for clean beaches and lush vegetation will be Andaman now.
Ideally we shoukd try to commercialize other beaches across India to reduce burden on one single spot.

How exactly is it possible that females are less literate today (after 5 yr schooling of course) than they were in freaking 1959; despite order of magnitude increase in state capacity and family incomes? Does not even pass the basic smell test.

Sad af
Then again the whole place is geared to scamming/making money off tourists so.

Hope they still have dukra-mass products, like the goan sausage
