Get Ready for Blood Bath in Global Automobile Market. Courtesy China :

Many Legacy Auto Makers are forced to windup shops, and Fossil Fuel Vehicles are nudged out, by China in Domestic Market.

China is largest Vehicle Market in the World and largest consumer of German & EV Brands.

Keep in Mind China is producer of 80% Batteries in the World, and from now on China will be serious player in EV's around the world with unbeatable prices.

All the Fossil Fuel Manufacturers will take huge losses on Inventory, Fixed Assets and Revenue (Market Shares), which will eventually hit their Global Balance Sheets.

This move will take down whole Global Vehicle Industry, and has possibility to spread in other sectors too.

You all people. Definitions of current account given here is wrong. Basically all external transactions are divided in 2 parts: Capital account and current account. Transactions in current account doesn't affect liabilities and assets. While transactions in capital account affects liabilities and assets.

Current account has following components:
  1. Net merchandise trade (Trade in goods). This is related to trade deficit.
  2. Net invisibles. This further has following sub-components:
    1. Net services exports.
    2. Net factor income from abroad [Net compensation of employees + Net investment income (profit, interest and rent)].
    3. Net transfers (official and private).

Capital account has following components:
  1. Net foreign investment = Net FDI + Net FPI.
  2. Net banking capital.
  3. Net external commercial borrowings.
  4. Short-term external debt.
  5. Net external assistance.
Overall, investment doesn't form part of current account. It is part of capital account.

Odisha is now the richest state of Eastern India with a per capita income of Rs 1,50,676 as compared to Rs 1,41,373 for West Bengal.
20 years ago,Odisha was the poorest state in the entire country, even poorer than Bihar.

Odisha used to be as poor as Bimaru states, 20-25 years back.
The state would have done even better had it focused more on setting up factories in the state rather than being a simple supplier of Raw materials.

Nevertheless,I find the State Capital, Bhubaneswar to be better developed than claustrophobic cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. It has all the modern amenities of a metro city minus the heavy traffic, pollution, large-scale slums and criminal gangs.

10 billion dollar mobile export...they should build their own mobile brand.

There's a reason why Dixon won't get into their own Brand building, there was a nice article on LiveMint a few weeks ago explaining the very same thing :

Brand behind brands

Contract manufacturers like Dixon, Bhagwati and Lava are also called electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers, which means they take specifications from companies like Motorola and put together an electronic device. Companies such as Motorola, on the other hand, are original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)—they own the original intellectual properties (IPs) and designs products. Typically, they contract an EMS company to assemble their product. Some companies, like Samsung, are capable of doing both.

Sunil Vachani, chairman and managing director of Dixon, said his company will never move to the OEM business model. The company, he stressed, wants to remain the “brand behind the brands". In doing so, it will never become a competitor to the companies it produces for. A Motorola, therefore, will never have to worry about handing Dixon a contract because it knows that the company won’t use what it learns from manufacturing Motorola products to create a competing and possibly cheaper product—which is essentially how Chinese companies like BBK Electronics, Xiaomi and many others became giants in the field of consumer electronics over the past decades.

Ya'll Nibbiars The ExxonMobil’s Lubricants Plant, Company's 1st green field investment in India, at 900 crore rupees investment at Raigad. The plant also plans to annually divert 90 percent of its lubricant operations waste from landfills into new productive uses.
